QUOTE(xemse89 @ Sep 1 2011, 01:15 AM) May i know that is it easy to find a spring bar tool in any watch shop in malaysia?or we have to buy it online and shipped here? I got a Bergeon one from a watch shop near Petaling St. I think Passions in Bangsar Village 2 might sell spring bar tools too. Might be worth giving them a call. |

QUOTE(kotmj @ Sep 7 2011, 11:38 PM) Spent the whole evening having this bloody watch twinkling in my face. It's an Omega, like the moonwatch but without the chrono function. It has a saphire crystal, and i almost forgot how reflective uncoated saphire is. I'm sorry but were there supposed to be pictures accompanying your post? It would be interesting to see a Speedy (since you said "like the moonwatch", I'm gonna assume it's a Speedmaster) without a chrono. Not quite SPEEDmaster anymore without the tachymetre to measure speed is it? I am convinced now that acrylic is a better choice then uncoated saphire. Belongs to the CFO. Added on September 7, 2011, 11:57 pmoh btw the cfo came in a suit, if anyone wants to know. he gingerly took it off, held it by the collar then carefully folded it before placing in on the seat beside him. it is a bespoke. Added on September 8, 2011, 12:01 amthe omega is very twinkly! the hour indices sparkle incessantly. |

Boutiques should be getting it sometime late this month or early-Oct maybe (that was what the salesgirl told me when I was there some many weeks ago). You can be damn hell sure that it won't be cheap though
I'm guessing mid to late teens. As a reference, here are the Aussie prices (should be cheaper in KL):- QUOTE I went back in today - here's the AUD retail prices (45.5mm versions only). Please sit down before you read on, I don't want to be responsible for any accidents. 3 hander - orange or grey bezel on bracelet: AUD$7325 Chrono - orange or grey bezel on bracelet: AUD$9725 Not yet in stock, release date in Australia TBA: Blue Ti on blue rubber strap three hander: AUD$9300 Blue Ti on blue rubber strap chrono: AUD$11,675 (Sorry, I didn't get the prices for these on bracelets) 1AUD$ = 1.05USD$ (approx.) http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/calling-s...ded-576613.html |

One of my favourite Tissots » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE Hi.. guys.. i need to ask.. is there any general rule on the watch size to match your wrist size. How does watch size correlates to my wrist size? My wrist size is 14cm and the height is 5cm. What is the max watch size that my wrist could handle?..hehe No general rule. I'd always suggest for you to go try on the watch first and see how it looks on your wrist. This is because the way watch widths are calculated may vary (some measure the diameter of the case, some include the crown etc) and also because the caseback and lugs have their own profiles which may or may not fit your wrist. Although at 14cm, I think you're gonna have a fairly hard time with Swiss brands. A lot of them are sized to fit kuailou wrists heh. |

QUOTE(Hypebeast123 @ Sep 26 2011, 01:49 AM) Any gents here know where could I get a watch box/ watch organizer? I'm looking for something classic. I got mine (unbranded IIRC) from Hang Thai Watch in SS2 (they have a branch in Bangsar Village as well). It's a simple looking 10-watch box, well priced (can't remember how much exactly, but not exorbitant for sure), and I like it most because of the soft cushions. My wrist is pretty small so my straps and bracelets are sized accordingly. I've tried one from Mitch & Marc but it wouldn't fit because the cushions are fairly stiff and I found it pretty hard to compress it sufficiently to fit my watches. Just something I wanted to share regarding the new Omega prices.
I was in the boutique last week and while they don't have the new models in yet (now they're expecting to get it sometime in November), they said the price range will be in between RM20-35k. Ouch... |

QUOTE(wke002 @ Sep 28 2011, 02:57 PM) Was thinking of getting my wife a rolex, think the cheapest model is the datejust. can someone know what is the price now or at least around what price. I think the Explorer would be the cheapest, but not sure if it'll suit your wife or not. Thanks. Stainless steel with jubilee bracelet and white gold bezel should be very close to RM20k (it was 18k some months back, not sure if they hiked the prices anymore in between). I suppose the Oyster bracelet counterpart should be cheaper. |

QUOTE(LOOOOOOL @ Oct 3 2011, 01:48 PM) hello guys, I suppose you can send it back to the shop to ask if they're able to polish or not.i wonder izit the right place to ask how to remove scratches from watch? i scratch my swiss military watch not long ago T.T are there any chance to recover it back? thanks Or independent watchmakers/repair shops may be able to do it for you. Should be doable if the scratch isn't too deep. |

HG Mid Valley .. KLCC & Lot 10 no stock... It's becoming rare ka ? Need another unit after reading This But I think both shops only have non-COSC ones. Need another unit... meaning you already have one? Why not go for a vintage sub? |

hanz, I used to prefer the non-COSC myself too, but after looking at the COSC one for the past few months, it's really starting to grow on me
And yes, pre-owned market for now is still flushed with 14060Ms (at fairly good prices too I might say). Unless you absolutely must have it new la. As for monetary returns on the 14060, I think until it gets discontinued or Rolex totally ruins it in the next revision, I can't think of a reason for it to appreciate in the next 5 years. A 5513/1680 maybe, but not the 14060 IMO. Anyway, a mugshot of me and my 2221.80 on a recent dive trip » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

That looks like the new PO? Not surprised if it is in the 20k region.
Not sure if it's in stores yet or not - do call up the AD to find out. Once the shops stock it, I don't think it'll be hard to get your hands on one... |

QUOTE(Kenishi @ Oct 21 2011, 12:27 PM) Thanks for quick reply....Chinoz & hanz079 Boutique will give you low discount, but you get to try on the entire range of watches there. One more silly question ,any preference shop around Klang Valley give best offer? AD will tell you that their prices/discounts are controlled by Omega, but if you talk nicely to them, they might be willing to give you a bit more laa Anyway, don't be too fixated on the discount %. Be mindful of the actual final price also. Last time when I was getting my Bond, boutique was lower discount but lower retail price. Hourglass gave higher discount but higher retail price also. At the end of the day, final selling price about the same for both. |
