diver watches are generally better.

laco, steinhart u had in mind are pilot watches. Seiko no pilot watches iirc.

didnt really go into each of the watches, the web shop's banner is having the word "second-hand"..

anyway dont you think it's too risky to buy second hand online just based on the description?

There is always risky while buying online.
The most important is buy the seller first.
I've dealt with them without any issue.

Sorry guys, I am not sure where to post this, so I thought this might be the closest place to ask.

Anyone know where I can get my D&G watch warrantied? The ticker is getting slower by almost 5 min every hour, suspect is electronic problem. Is there any place I can send it for warranty / service here in Malaysia or even Singapore?

This watch was a gift which was bought overseas, and it would be impossible for me to send it back to where it was bought...

Thanks guys for any assistance. notworthy.gif

Don't they give you a warranty card or some sort? and what kind of watch are you talking about? You should ask in the watch thread. they might have a clue there.

Roger Dubuis, all inhouse. I wouldn't get their watches if they are made in 2009 or earlier.
Their movements were plague with issues.
service maybe top notch, bring it in I bet they take good care of U at a premium too!

Laco and Steinhart do not use Tritium. they use Superluminova, pics on their lume is taken with 1st few minutes of darkness. after 1hr, U cannot see anything. Do return to your older post and read. Tritium or H3 only found in certain watches.

the pics in my post is to compare watches on tritium and Superluminova and Divers lume vs pilot watch lume. What is why I included swiss diver (Doxa).
U can see Laco lume is applied a little unevenly on second hands and numbers on the dial.

This table explains some numbers if U are sci person
user posted image

I don't know the application for such lume that last for a short time. Divers don't read time that early when they are in waters. In the movies, I don't read time until the movie is going to end. By that time U do need external light source.

in about 45mins it will fade all away.
will U bring UV light around to get Lume?
its like Solar touch light, need light to keep torch going. think about does it make sense to U to keep UV light around to keep your lume going?
