Based on my personal use though, my sister's old Dell Inspiron and my friend's old Inspiron too, it is very, very sturdy.
Even the keyboard keys tend to come off, it's still working perfectly fine!

Some of the manufacturers want to "fix" or improve their reputation (like HP last few years) will sell good laptops at a low price. Now HP fixed it, and the price hiked up.
