ah thx for the info. i just got back from lowyat, trying to search that model but no luck, they said no stock. but there's 2-3 seller selling it with blueray, selling for 4.5k above @@. hmm...may i know wats the difference between switchable or non? i heard u can have longer battery life, but that's not rly important to me hehe. however ur notebook problem is really serious one!! gahh now idk which notebook should i buy! can u recommend good notebook for graphic/multimedia work purpose n gaming?i desperately need one ;_;
The blueray RM4.5k above that wan is the old model, Y560. That wan i heard from other forumer also got alot of problems specialy with the bios.
Switchable graphics means that your able to switch graphic from the main GPU (Nvidia or ATI) to the intergrated GPU(intel). Doing so can at least save you another 1 hour to 2 hours. So basicly your battery life can last at lesat 4 hours with the intergrated GPU. If don't have switchable graphics means that you can't have a longer battery life.
If you wan good for graphics and gaming i suggest you go for:
Asus N53SN-SX043V -Aluminium Silver, i7 2630QM + nVidia GT550,2GB GDDR3, 4GB ram@RM3599
Asus N53SV, i7 2720Q, Nvidia GT540M, 4gb ram......price TBA most prob around 3k la
HP DV6-4003TX, i7 2630QM + ATi HD6570, 1Gb GDDR5@RM3299 (quality not sure)
If you really need a laptop now i don't really suggest you get a SB laptop unless you don't mine dropping it at the service center after purchasing the laptop
Non sb laptops :
Asus A42JP - 14" , i5 480m, ATI HD6570 2gb GDDR3, 4gb ram, 500gb HDD @RM2699
Asus 52JV - 15", Sames Spec but bigger size and GPU is Nvidia GT540M 2gb DDR3 @RM2699
