Bro, after you finish preload, try to see if you can backup the game.

I usually download games with my download rig, then only backup and restore on my i7. but I have tried few times, backup just doesnt seems to work on Crysis 2, my batman was ok tho.

But I still can copy the file from steamapps over, so I guess it just a minor probelm for me now.

For certain games, like Shogun 2, you gotta activate the game in your current PC first (ie. start the game at least once)

Then Steam will download some files to decrypt the game.

After starting it once, you'll be able to back up your game accordingly.

Not sure whether it is the same with Crysis 2. Worth a shoot to try though.

Sometimes slightly longer depends on how much data Steam gotta download to decrypt the game.

I am ok with that, probably test how well can my 2nd rig cope with Crysis 2.
1440x900 resolution with E5400 @ 3.6Ghz + HD5750 1GB

You don't need to actually play the game.

Just decrypt, go into main menu, quit.

Then when you are out you should be able to perform the backup.

If it is the same situation with Shogun 2.

Now my crysis download dropped back to 52%, after steam unlocked the game and decrypted it.

There goes my friday.

This morning my progress was at 69%, and suddenly steam started to decrypted it, assuming that the game is unlocked and yup, drop back to 53%.

Nvm, I got Bulletstorm to ease my wait.

I got it. But it would be satisfying if I know my 2nd rig can handle Crysis 2, be it the lowest setting

April doesn't have any games coming out in my radar, hope it stays that way
