Whoa, I know this is a "steam" thread, but what's with the flaming. I came in here to look for Steam promotions and got treated to flaming war. Anyways, what ARE the latest Steam promos? anything cheap and fun? Added on March 23, 2011, 3:18 pmQUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 23 2011, 03:06 PM) You do realize that if local retailers like youbeli or TSB go out of business, that means we'll never get new releases at <RM 150 anymore as we'll be subjected to Steam's standard USD 50 (Which is RM 150+ depending on the exchange rate). Furthermore, a lot of EA games are moving into that USD 60 range and gamers.com.my is still keeping those titles priced at RM 140. I'd say that's something worth defending. well said This post has been edited by hydrogen: Mar 23 2011, 03:18 PM

QUOTE(Yuki Ijuin @ Mar 23 2011, 03:20 PM) Stop misusing the word "flame". Flame in the online slang context is an attack on a person, an ad hominem, or a rage induced post filled with fury of the vindictive nature. H@h@: This forum is magical. Barely anyone can see things in the big picture.

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Mar 23 2011, 03:50 PM) Anyway, to our regular forumers, if you're really that keen on looking up promotions, I suggest using the Great Game Promo thread instead where it's nice and clean and free of opinions. But i just grabbed a snack and sat down to enjoy the conversations in this thread. It is all actually very informative btw

QUOTE(kianweic @ Mar 23 2011, 03:57 PM) Singleplayer games ie. RPGs and what not. I don't see how it is not piracy for singleplayer games to be played by several people and by using one license only. I might be mistaken, but isn't piracy more like stealing someone else's profits and having profit of their own? So if the person is not earning any money, I don't think letting his friend play his singleplayer game is really "piracy" per se? So your logic can be summarized as "if you don't pay money to buy this game yourself you CANNOT even double click on the icon of this game, even if it's on your friends pc and he is going off on a 1 month holiday in africa". just an example, of course.

Oh, and what about corporate software then.
There is one room in a department where only one pc is located. An original Microsoft Office is installed on one PC that is used by 10 different people working on 10 different days (shifts).
Piracy?
