Question.
I found a FW update for the HM-601. A bit afraid upgrading it.
Has anyone tried it before? Any problems? My greatest fear is bricking my dear 601. tongue.gif

Added on March 20, 2011, 11:01 pmNevermind, I took the plunge. laugh.gif

I just hope they don't bring in car audio into the IEM form. sweat.gif

F1 is only good for what it is, a cheap IEM. tongue.gif
As stock IEMs go, it's actually pretty decent.

In a few months I'm gonna take revenge by spoiling myself with a headphone purchase. I'm gonna get myself an Alessandro MS1i afterall. laugh.gif

Have to wait a few months la first, to collect enough funds. I think Jaben also has had problems with MS1i stock a while back, dunno now though. Jaben, got stock ah? tongue.gif

It's been on and off and on and off but in the end something that is energetic with electric guitars is what I want, and what seems to be the strong point of the MS1i, not surprising from a guitar amp manufacturer.

I just hope nothing bad happens while I'm stockpiling my cash. dry.gif

Ouch. Temporary it is finished. Woule u like to be our waiting guess list?

Hmmm........a bit risky since I am in the middle of collecting funds. Afraid I might not have the funds when the time comes.
Approximately how long is the wait/how long have this waiting list go on for?

Generally Alessandro's are tamed versions of Grado headphones

Grado had more bass and treble while Alessandro have less bass and treble.
that's what most people said icon_rolleyes.gif

So basically you get a "fat" sound coming out of them, mid-centered I mean?

Keep your fingers crossed biggrin.gif
I'll go out on a limb and give a prediction that they'll be in stock in May tongue.gif

btw, have you auditioned an MS1 before? smile.gif
*
How can I audition, I'm at Sabah. laugh.gif
But I don't mind its drawbacks, like poor isolation and stuff. Having a DDM with its massive bass and rich mids but recessed treble, didn't mind that the slightest bit of that sound sig(in fact my favourite sound sig). Not much of a critical listener either. Just wanting something that I can slip on my head in a split second, hit play on my source and start head-banging or doing air guitar poses. laugh.gif

Yea it's best to test first before getting an MS-1i

give Grado SR-80i a try as well... who knows maybe you like an extra tint of bass and treble brows.gif
*
For bass fix I have the DDM already.
I know I've requested bright IEM before, but it seems that vocal and electric guitars(guitars in general) are more my thing these days. I would like good treble, but I don't mind them being recessed.

What...IT HAAAAASSS?!?!! drool.gif

EDIT: OMG just found out at Headjam that it'll be RM368........cheaper than the MS1i.
Decisions decisions. tongue.gif If I choose the SE215, I can buy them tomorrow. laugh.gif

EDIT: Nah...MS1i it is..... tongue.gif Too much hassle of putting it in my ear and also questions about the detachable cable's durability. biggrin.gif

Nope. laugh.gif
I may change my mind again(I've only been indecisive when it comes to audio laugh.gif ). May be getting an SR60i instead if stock is readily available. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info, i would like to ask for the colour preference, which looks nice in ear? i dont want to look like im wearing a hearing aid if you know what i mean  smile.gif
*
Then black would be your colour of choice. Most hearing aids I see are in a shade of white/flesh colour. biggrin.gif

HAPPY BIRTHDAY great dude!! rclxm9.gif party.gif

Oh, and thanks to Jaben, my SR60i has arrived in great condition and.......one of the best purchase I've made. My first ever headphone and it doesn't disappoint.
Kudos to Grado, Kudos to Jaben. thumbup.gif

One thing though, it sure needs a lot of power. sweat.gif

Hey does Jaben sell pads that fits Grados? Thinking of getting one to test them out. I tried my SR60i without the pads and the sound is much less restricted and volume is higher(which made me turn down the volume on my DAP). So thinking of getting one of those "donut" earpads. I would like to be able to switch between earpads so doing a quarter mod on the stock is out of the question.

Not looking into buying one now, just seeing whether Jaben has them or not. smile.gif

I like how they open up the sound a bit more. Actually I found the volume to be a bit louder without the pad covering up the driver.

Eventually I'm gonna remove the rear venting grille, then change the cables, and replace the housing.....and so on...but that's for when it is out of warranty. I'm looking around the net for some decent DIY mod tutorial. tongue.gif
