oh yes..my HDD is rly the main thing bringing my rig down but SSDs are expensive. If get the cheapest 60gb SSD...its still not enough for windows OS itself right?

And could some1 please look through this list and tell me which motherboard is good. I don expect much, just some mild OC on my future i5 (targeting 4Ghz).
http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf

price is in Aussie dollar...so expect like 50RM more expensive or more..lol.
*
60Gb SSD is already enuf to installed OS+some apps

from the link u give,you can give a try to Asrock Z68 Pro3 = AUD135/RM440
or
if u can wait a little bit,go for Asrock Z68 Extreme 4 Gene 3 brows.gif

dang,Asrock really designing a good board+the aggressive price tag that they put....
i.....must.......resist.....

wht is so good about this board compared to.. say normal gigabyte/asus/msi board?
*
in MY...the price for this board is lower than other board except MSI,on par mybe...u can have all the feature of Asus P8Z8V-Pro(except bluetooth) on Asrock Z68 extreme4 at lower price...
i never try Gigabyte/Msi b4,so i cannot comment much abt it...
also the new Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gene3 has PCI-E 3.0 support and a nice black+gold theme... smile.gif

which one is better, IBT or prime95?
my cpu speed 4.5Ghz at 1.25v stable with prime95, but un-stable with IBT
*
how long u stress using prime95?
dunno abt IBT...never used it b4 but it use same linpack as LinX...
for testing ur cooling capabilities/cpu stability,i think latest Linx is better coz it takes advantage of AVX instruction on SB...so it will stress all cores and will produce more heat than Prime95 does...
im really lazy to stress using Prime95 coz need to wait for long time...LOL
at least 8hours to mke sure ur OC is stable or not... sweat.gif
so far no problem for me....

the for the information, btw what is DIGI+VRM? is it safe to remove it in AI suite uninstaller?
*
dun worry too much lah...that DIGI+VRM is a hardware based on ur mobo...
if u remove it from AI suite,it will not harm ur system...just u cannot control the DIGI+VRM feature in windows..thats all...
but still can control it in ur bios...

5-10 runs at 90%+ rams is more than enough to find out short term instability. Once passed that, 12 hour prime blend with 90%+ rams would determine if OC is stable. Anything less than this, I call it unstable. I've had many tries where I could get something that seems stable but will fail after 8 hours. My oc is now rock solid biggrin.gif
*
b4 this i run prime when i oc...but now i just run linx for 20 run, enuf for my daily usage games, surf watch movie etc...really lazy to wait for 8hours++ for prime...LOL
So far no problem for me...been running @5ghz since june... thumbup.gif
