Mine at 5ghz cant even boot although I put 1.6v.. In SP0 at 5ghz also need 1.5v.. Mayb is the chip to be blame

yea.. prime doesnt stress both cpu and gpu..

i dun thk u will load ur comp 100% for 24/7.. so u wont reach 73c on everyday use.. consider fine i thk

for me, its definitely depends on person whether they wan to run at that speed 24/7.. intel safe temp is 71c if not mistaken
60c for me is hot ody.. bt some ppl can cope with it..
and overclock will decrease ur comp's life..
so if u ok with all that then u can stay at that speed..
it actually depends on whether u wan it or not

for me i dun wan my comp to run more than 50c, it makes the room hot..
if u wan it reli 'safe', then u may juz refer to intel safe spec

no major improvement.. different ony in HT.. gaming shud go for 4cores..
for mobo, personally i always go for asus.. p8z68 v-pro i guess?

47C with 1% load. your vcore is too high and I doubt you have adequate cooling capacity. Even with my setup and low ambient temp I could hit 90C on IBT, 95% ram.

If you run an IBT your PC will shutdown from thermal protection. You need to upgrade your cooling or keep it back down to 4.x ghz.

i dun thk its heat prob.. i can get 50x at 1.51v not exceeding 70c.. at 51x, real temp gives me abt 80c under load, bt got error with linx

i think cpu pll can be lowered.. then memory frequency can be increased to 1333 at least

juz changed my board to asus p67pro.. having trouble to load windows after 5ghz.. any idea? does raid affect it?
