A tale of love & betrayal. Strangely the two main char sink to 2nd fiddle in the 2nd half as the plot reveals the truth.

Intriguing and emotional. Sequel coming this year as well!

The Third Murder (Jap 2018) – 6.5/10
A very slow movie even by Masaharu Fukuyama standard.

A bit thrill and loud crash at the end.

Surprisingly watchable Heat-like movie. A sequel is confirmed.

First one not that good and same for this. I guess HK film industry pretty much dying soon since multiple times Best Actor Tony Leong starred in this.

Monkey King 3: Kingdom of Women (Cant 2018) – 6/10
A STEP DOWN compared to the predecessor. Bad cgi cerography. WuKong strength toned down drastically. Nevertheless, the 2nd best cny movie compared to others.

Operation Red Sea (Mand 2018) – 7.5/10
A STEP UP of Operation Mekong. Great intense war action by Navy Seal of China. Dante Lam has confirmed making another Operation!

Black Panther – 5.5/10
2nd worst marvel movie after Doc Strange. Quite boring.

Wonderful! Liang Xi Mei (Mad 2018) – 6/10
Decent laugh. Liang Po Po cameo.

Game Night – 7/10
Quite hilarious and entertaining.

Staycation (Cant 2018) – 5.5/10
Johnson Lee better remains as TV host.

Acceptable but could be better. AV is golden. The movie is over when Daniel Wu was just about to get started.

Beautiful filming location. Beautiful cinematography. Slow but not boring. A hidden gem.

Quite overrated and got nominated because no more title in 2017 worth nominated.

Mischief fun.

The Strangers: Prey at Night – 6/10
Doesn’t rely on cheap jump-scare. A better remake.

Red Sparrow – 6.5/10
Most daring JLaw role luckly didn’t turn up like Atomic Blonde. A lot of scene cuts and zoom in probably better off banned this movie altogether. A better JLaw movie than her previous Mother! or Passengers.

The Hurricane Heist – 6/10
Surprise watchable heist action under a hurricane. Don’t be fooled by the bad movie title choice. The movie bombed probably due to lesser known actor & actress and of course the very bad title.

Pacific Rim Uprising – 5/10
Serviceable for robot action sequences. Ignore the rest.

Lee Chong Wei (Mand 2018) – 6.7/10
Perak specialist. Silver specialist.

Mazinger Z: Infinite (Jap 2018) – 6.5/10
This anime released same week as Pacific Rim was actually a better movie. Mazin Go!

Unsane – 7/10
I have no idea Soderbergh was using IPHONE to film this movie until I watched it. Despite the UGLY picture, the film is not bad. Please STOP using smartphone filming movie.

Ready Player One 3D – 7.5/10
You know you’re gonna watch this so skip all the comments I’m telling you to watch this in IMAX 3D is worthwhile. A third Spielberg title without John William.

Better than Cloverfield don’t you think?

Boring.

Film is alright but the thing is Bella Thorne’s negative image. Should’ve star Shailene Woodley.

This Sylvia Chang directed movie is very good. Every char performs very well and believable.

Alright. Just a usual patient ‘adventure’ while waiting recovery.

Above average rampaging.

Very nice French animation. I liked the first story better.

This one is a better horror movies out there.

Avengers: Infinity War – 7/10
A Dragonball ripoff? Haha… I want the char that’s dead stays dead though but we all know they’ll be ‘restored’. Can’t wait for Infinity War 2 for my personal closure to MCU. Can’t do another decade for Phase 4,5,6,7,8etc

Bad Samaritan – 6.5/10
While everyone is busy watching Avengers, this movie silently opened. Surprisingly watchable.

Deadpool 2 – 6/10
Although I do not have a single laugh in this movie - I stay neutral here.

Solo: A Star Wars Story – 4/10
Worst Star Walks movie I ever seen. This movie made Rogue One a better movie. I never liked any of tyranny Kathleen Kennedy version of Star Walks anyways. I think they should stop doing SW until they can find a better producer with better vision and some good writers before this franchise become a crap franchise. SW is too popular to fail.

Million Loves in Me (Cant/Mand 2018) – 7/10
Koon-Lan Law outstanding performance in this movie well deserve the 12 award wins of 13 nominations.

Future World – 2/10
Omg a shitty James Franco movie. Hollywood love to make crap movie these days. Milla Jovovich is in it too.

Shed Skin Papa (Cant 2018) – 6.3/10
Funny at times. Weirdly at times.

Isle of Dogs – 6/10
Weakest Anderson movie by far. Not as enjoyable as his previous films. No side-scrolling adventure this time.

Finally a superhero movie that didn’t connected to whatever shitty universe. A delightful watch. Holly Hunter who voices Elastigirl was cute in 2004, 14years later she sounded like GRANDMA don’t you think.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – 6.7/10
Despite nothing new, it’s still an enjoyable ride. Step up than JW1. But would you buy the ending? Just boot Trevorrow already. Watched twice 1)Mbo BigSkrin 2)Onyx Hall. Appreciable BigSkrin size BUT Onyx screen is crispier and much crystal clear not to mention 4K HDR.

The Leakers (Cant 2018) – 6.2/10
A fast pace action thriller by Herman Yau. In this movie he’s going back to ‘HK style’ but settings in M’sia. A watchable one-time movie.

Brother of the Year (Thai 2018) – 7.7/10
This funny and bittersweet family drama so endearing leaves teary eye at the end. A fun satisfying watch. Watched twice already. Wished I buy the event ticket instead(now sold out) for meeting with the casts.

Hereditary – 6.6/10
I love slow burn horror that don’t rely on cheap jump scare. A near good movie.

Sicario: Day of Soldier – 6.4/10
Film not better than the predecessor but still watchable although not a worthy follow up.

Inuyashiki (Jap 2018) – 6.5/10
Another live action based on anime from the creator of GANTZ. I didn’t liked director’s previous work but this one probably due to only 12eps anime film felt didn’t left out much detail. Nice fight visual btw and they also changed the ending.
