for me that din take the 1500 cheque... we get 3500...,, minus fees... left 2k for you for one sem... those that took the 1500 for 3 sem they get 3500 also, but minus minus left bout 1.5k.....


assuming u got full loan..... some get half loan oli...

Mine they deducted RM1,500.00 at one go during my second semester.

So you guys better ask properly.

C'mon, man! You are only a student. As far as I know, a student only needs a moderate-range PC which is in working condition, plus some software for educational purposes.

No point in having the best PC in the world equipped with a booming sound card, a flawless graphics card, the fastest processor on Earth, the biggest hard disk space in the universe, the brighest and sharpest display in the entire galaxy...only to get a so-so grade in your studies. You are in the university to gain knowledge and to engineer a better future for yourself, not to show off to your peers that one of the greatest ever machines is in your possession.

If you believe that this is crap, do ignore this advice at your pleasure.

I am using an Asus laptop which runs on a dual core processor (it's DUAL CORE, not CORE 2 DUO).

Not only it went through the entire 4 years with me, it also gave me problem-free, first-class, top-draw, outstanding and exceptional services, which includes running of simulations, preparation of lab reports and final year project thesis, software programming, just to name a few of the multitude of tasks.

On top of that, it only has a built-in sound card and graphics card. No 3D card, for that matter.

Guys, for your information, you do not need to have the best graphics card for SolidWorks and AutoCAD to run on your laptop.
