Hello, may I know how to count the cgpa for the entire semester ?

School= PPK Pembuatan
Course= Manufacturing Engineering
Academic Session = 2012/2013

Now already finished final semester exam..

Let me give you some samples.

SAMPLE 1

Subject code	Unit	Grade	GPA	Total GPA1
ENT 234/4	4	A	4.00	16.00
ENT 245/4	4	B	3.00	11.25
ENT 256/3	3	A-	3.75	9.00
EUW 345/2	2	A	4.00	8.00
EUW 123/1	1	A	4.00	4.00
Grand GPA				48.25

¹ Total GPA for each subject = GPA x subject credit

CGPA = Grand GPA/Total subject unit = 48.25/14 = 3.45


SAMPLE 2

Subject code	Unit	Grade	GPA	Total GPA
ENT 234/4	4	A	4.00	16.00
ENT 245/4	4	A	4.00	16.00
ENT 256/3	3	A	4.00	12.00
EUW 345/2	2	A-	3.75	7.50

Grand GPA				54.50

CGPA = 54.50/14 = 3.89


Even though both samples scored 3A 1A- 1B, Sample 2 has a much higher CGPA. This is because the position of the A's is extremely important. Try to score as much A's as possible for your core subjects (subjects with 3 and 4 units).
