Nice. How much it cost to make such panel?
*
The designer quote me RM 4,980.00 for the panel and the TV console table.

Are you planning to have a full home theatre set up (e.g. 5.1 or 7.2)? Practical/serviceable power points and easy cable management should be an important consideration, not just the aesthetics. Otherwise you have a nice cabinet, but the view is spoiled by countless unsightly cables running all over the place.
The problem with most designs is that there is not enough place to hide wires, and difficult to replace/service them when the need arises. The other is the lack of plug points..
*
Thanks for the advise, never thought of the cable management problem cause. Guess i have to throw the problem back to the designer.

If you are doing full blown HT, you need plug points for TV, BluRay/DVD player, AV amp, Subwoofer at minimum. Don't forget Media Player, Astro, XBOX/PS3..... smile.gif
If you plan to have CCTV and wire them to your TV, you'll need even more space for the recorder and cables!
Also, speaker placement for the optimum viewing experience needs to be considered.

A lot of people never consider all these factors until it is too late...

Another interesting feature you can consider is to use an override switch, meaning your cabinet plug points are routed through a single 20A dipole switch. This is useful when you are planning to go away for long periods and don't want to leave your equipment on idle. Even on standby, AV equipment consume a fair amount of juice. Rather than switch off one by one, you just flick this switch. Just take care that the wiring is done correctly using quality grade dual core, and that you don't accidentally wire the plug point for your CCTV recorder through the dipole. (it has to remain separate so that your recording doesn't shut down when you switch off the rest.)

ps: you seriously will need a LOT of space for cables if you are doing HT and/or CCTV and the routing needs to make sense, i.e. there must be through holes for wires and cables to pass through where you need them to.

I am planning to get a ready made TV cabinet from the furniture shop.

And I am planning to hang the TV on the wall, but am not sure how to conceal the cables, probably getting a big board to put on the walls?

Built in cabinet is too expensive for my budget..

Please don't use white color if you want to laminate. The ugly joints are prominent using white/soft color. Wood or dark colors are better looking.
