Hi all,
I'm just read this thread and very nice to know that XZ-1 is very impressive. I've bought this camera about two weeks ago. U know, I don't know about this camera until I go to store and the seller recommend me this camera. Actually, I've been looking for Panasonic LX-5 and survey for more than two months. Lastly, after test both of the camera at the store, I've choose XZ-1. Actually, I've choose this camera because of the function and picture quality and the ring. WOW... After use it for two weeks, I didn't regret at all. I've like the ART Filter. 6 art can be use. So, no need for me to edit in photoshop. Last week, I've added screen and lens protector but from different store. The seller say, it can't be off unless I crowbar it. Badly, yesterday, the screen protector is write off from the screen and I've go to the store again. BTW, I love this camera. |

should i grab this camera? i just sold my gf1, cos didnt ultilize it at all lolz.. thinking of getting something more compact and without the fuss of changing lens. After i touch m43, i guess i am better at getting a high end compact because i seldom use those functions and manual focus at all. How does xz-1 compare to their competitors? last time i was eyeing on lx5 but in the end i bought gf1. Now i am stepping back on this region. Is there any camera that i should wait?

hmm, actually i am not an avid photographer, i want a camera to shot something when i go travelling, or events. Not really into street photography, perhaps shoot some foods, some interesting stuff. I am interested in XZ-1 due to the larger aperture which i don need to use flash to take low light photos.

I use the XZ-1 for snapshots too. I couldn't get comfortable with the LX5 and dislike the slow zoom on the S95 (oledi have a S90) but the tipping point for me is XZ-1's very crisp and contrasty rendition compared with its rival. |
