we have 50mm 1.4 with AF-S
it's called
AF-S Nikkor 50mm F/1.4 G
or you can try your luck on
Sigma 50mm 1.4 HSM

don't go for 50mm f/1.8 because you will be forced to use manual focus which is painful.
I myself gotten my 35mm f/1.8G and happy with it and settle down for a while.

Not to say it is rare.
I wrote it that way because it is a 3rd party lens which might cause you a problem. e.g bad copy, focusing problem, back and front focusing problem.
so.. If you are familiar with lens testing you can test it out and ensure yourself to get a good copy of Sigma 50mm 1.4 go for it. I'd say it is better compared to nikon in term of sharpness.

however if you somehow manage to got a lemon copy of it. I bet your face will look like lemon.
sour and yeah very sour.

anyway what I wrote there is 35mm f/1.8 G and of course if you know which bank you can rob out there 35mm 1.4 is okay for a newbie like us.

if you are expecting entry level body go for D3100 instead. Else? D7000 definitely.

Will you buy a brand new D90. Compared to brand new D3100?
as it's been 2 years+ in the market.
