Thanks for the link. I understand ISOs now. About exposure, almost all photography sites talks about aperture and shutter speed. That's what makes exposure. I'm not sure if N8 are able to control both manually. The only given was exposure in the range of -2 to 2 with increment every 0.5, whereas in sites many talks about aperture f2.5-f8 and so on. Any sifu can help me ? :S
N8 has a fixed aperture of f2.8 and no shutter speed control. U can achieve some control using the different modes for shutter speed and that's about it. But still you can take quite a lot of fine pictures with it.
Can see that you had a nice dinner for New Year's eve. Friend buying again? As for me, I spent the evening celebrating my nephew's birthday. Jun_Wei_20101231 by Alex C O Lim, on Flickr
Assisted GPS right ? Yeah, it's disable. When I run my Ovi Maps, lets say I'd want to drive to some place, it'll get stuck saying "Waiting for GPS". Is that normal ?
Using AGPS can lock within seconds if you have a data connection and once it's locked then it will not use the data connection again. If you're on a long journey, I have found that it can use the AGPS a few times especially in places of poor satelite reception. Each lock uses about 10k of data so it works out to roughly about 10 cents per access.
I think it's quite reasonable given it's speed and accuracy in tracing and locking down the satelites signal.
Just bought a Nokia N8 3 days ago, guys, how do you tell if an N8 is the first batch that have mobo problem?
You will know when it dies on you and you have to send it to the NCC to get it revived.
But chill out, it only affects a small percentage of users so it's not that critical as it's made out to be unless you are an owner of a dud unit. In the meantime, enjoy Angry Birds and the camera.
