You can't compare mic brand with EHEIM Because they are so much diff in price and quality
IMHO, budget wise go for MIC. If you want long term then EHEIM. I m using 2 EHEIM in my sleeping room. But they nevEr generate any noise even at midnight try get second hand eheim if you found trusted seller. There is one second hand aquarium equipment dealer in LYN street mart pet shop but I not stastisfy with his service >< This post has been edited by weijie: May 9 2011, 10:07 AM |

Chiller price is between 1k - 1.3k for hailea 150a or resun (I not sure which model) Their power consumption and quality is diff Don't just look at the purchase price because electricity bill and maintainance will cause you more Try google more forums related to chiller (widely used in marine tank) |

Rm850 for new or used?
Higher power= cooling faster << BUT highly dependent on your compressor efficiency Rated power is for during cooling process. So if your water is cold enough, compressor stop = much less power consumed as what I know, chiller doesn't have internal pump So if your input water too fast, chiller not able to cool water down then water already go back to tank. So not much efficient Hailea 150a is only suitable up to 3feet If you planning for future use, pls go higher power |

I agree with freestyler
If by cooling the tank can make you input more gas, then you will get higher pressure Those tank that we using has standard psi to avoid accidents I think that LFS got no idea what he talking about Lol |

As consumer, of course we want a cheapest price with best quality
But salesman are selling products to support their family as well As long as cost and product price is not 50% or more, I will consider it as OK Recommended price is to avoid LFS from overcharging the consumers. ADA wanted to protect their product quality and company name But some LFS don't apply such high profit margin so they sell lower price I think cost price for whole Malaysia is same for every LFS Just depending they want to earn more(higher price with less quantity sold) or earn by (less earning but large volume sold) This post has been edited by weijie: May 15 2011, 11:45 AM |

As known as golden, it is pink/white in color. Some shop call it as albino algea eater Chinese algea eater, Siamese algea eater, flying fox is like 3twin brothers They looked almost alike Try google for more information I can put up an article about how to diff them if you guys wants Added on May 16, 2011, 11:41 am QUOTE(tyja @ May 16 2011, 11:37 AM) I dont think so. QUOTE(tyja @ May 18 2011, 10:27 AM) Want to update my tank photo after 3 weeks. Mist theory is correct as what ciohbu sayAdded on May 18, 2011, 11:34 amjust install chiller, hailea hc 150 a, i wonder why aquarium glass got mist..i set my chiller 25 degree..and how actually this chiller work? is it set to 25 degree and when temp increase to 26, it will run and maintain back to 25? Can I know the reason you set till 25C? Your plant love this temp but it will kill your electricity bill Yes, hailea will start the compressor once it sense temp reach 26, then stop after cool to 25C |

I think you need to check your chiller thermostat
If you set to 27, compressor will only run till 27.0 You are saying that even when you set to 27C, the chiller will run till 24.7C? The reading is from chiller or external thermometer? |

Nopes
It should had stop at 26.0 It seems that there is some wiring prob with your chiller Thermostats reading is correct but it is unable to stop after reaching correct temp The temp stop at 24.7C because it is the max chilling capability of your hailea (I guess) I currently using 2215 with hailea 150a. Temp set 27C. So far so good |
