Thanks for the reply. Hmm will not be considering solenoid regulator for the time being due to budget constraints. Which LFS that anyone know that they carry Bacter100 and Clear Super? I'm from Subang Jaya btw.

Initial start up is sufficient already? Cause i've read some articles/forum saying that we need the bacter to stabilize the ecosystem within the tank that will clear the water up.

What sort of manual regulator should i get? Or any will do as long as it have a working pressure gauge?

So Eheim 2213 is good enough for a 2 ft tank? What about lighting? 8000k 55w or should i get lower than 55w cause i've read higher watts makes the plants yellowish. I'm willing to spend abit more to invest in a good filter and lighting system.  biggrin.gif

What fertilizer should we get for daily/weekly dosage to maintain the health of the plants? And for the substrate, can i have reviews of sifus here regarding Amazonia I compared to Amazonia II?

if Subang... try NA.. hehe..

about the hose holder that u pm me.. out of stock d sad.gif sorry ya

What is the light spectrum you having?
As what I know, normal LED are not able to penetrate deep water. That's why it is not encourage to use in planted or marine tank
*

Yo Weijie, regarding ur sms, sorry ya for late reply, quite busy this few days with work biggrin.gif so far no ppl order from me yet oo, business bad ..lol

@ loon1031, i can help you to get it, but there are few things u need to take note, 1st is atomizer working presure is much higher than normal ceramic plate diffuser that we bought in lfs, 2nd, u need to make sure ur co2 gas tiub can support that pressure, if no it might explode icon_rolleyes.gif

i am looking at another ISTA ceramic in-line diffuser, will update here if i got more info ... hehe

depends on the plant u going to get, some plants like java or moss don't need high light

and u also need to consider, higher light = higher nutrient needed = might need co2 injection too

Paiseh, is cm.. i use the heavy duty roll measure tape. i think is cm. or less than 1.8feet.(46cm)

No, i'm saying the marimo moss ball need a 26C' so i will make my tank about 26c.. so any other plants other than java moss that can thrive in such temperature?

hp for the filter. what bout lighting?
*
why not ? lol...generally plant like low temp, but temp is not the only factor to grow plant

u gonna open ur air cond to do that ?or u getting a chiller? if u growing moss only.. not need la.. they can survive in tank with fans only

and also, filter usually measure with l/hr and light is watt icon_rolleyes.gif

aiya i always thought fluorescent light uses the least electrical consumption. now I know I'm wrong. Then I think i'll go and change it soon. X_X I love mother earth! HAHAHA. jkjk... but yeah =/
*
hehe.. nope.. LED consume less power, last longer and dissipate less heat (referring to normal LED only)

since ur Tetra Ex120 already 3-4 years d & start to leak...
u should now empty ur tank & wait for it dried.... after few days, try to apply the best silicon (that can be found at ur hometown) at corner (8 sides inside the tank)... after few weeks, then try to fill ur water again.

Hope this can help.

better solve algae problem from the root..

QUOTE
Introduction

Every aquarium keeper has likely had to deal with an algae problem. In a planted aquarium, an even more complex set of variables can easily go out of whack, and end in a sad algae state. I’ve combined information from a few different websites, added some personal experience, and have hopefully assembled a complete reference for the most common types of algae seen in the planted aquarium, along with their causes and cures. This is an ever-evolving document, so if you feel anything is incorrect or misleading, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment with your correction.

Table of Contents

Black Brush/Beard (Rhodophyta)
Brown Algae (Diatoms)
Blue Green (Cyanobacteria)
Cladophora
Fuzz Algae
Green Dust Algae (GDA)
Green Spot (Choleochaete orbicularis)
Green Water (Euglaena)
Hair/Thread Algae
Staghorn (Compsopogon sp.)
