Better to tackle the 'not so clear' water issue at the source, rather than rely on chemicals or special filter media, IMHO.

about price, i think sure more pricey than carbon but worth it if can clean water without losing fert, plus purigen can be re-charge / re-use

based on seachem , 1L of purigen can treat 4000L, means 100ml = 400L
