Hi guys,

After rooting my phone and applying Apps2sd hack, i have somehow unlocked the samsung qwerty keyboard in portrait mode. Does anyone know which setting makes this happen? Because, before apps2d i didn't have the qwerty option (i had already rooted).

Hope someone can test

Samsung portrait and landscape mode available on unroot............not necessary unlock

You mean this option was always available even before root? I tried switching the portrait input to qwerty before but couldn't find the option to do so

You using G5?

not necessary to switch, if you portrait the phone, the Samsung qwrty keypad will automatic in portrait.
once you landscape it, the qwerty keypad automatic in landscape

Before this I was getting a qwerty landscape keyboard but when turned to portrait it would be a numeric T9 keypad.

I knew your problem.........you have not choose the correct setting for Samsung Keypad

when it at the protrait numeric keypad, you need to choose the "Setting" icon to change it to qwerty keypad at the first time
(sorry, i cant screen shoot to let you more understand, i not in myhome now)

I'm also looking for a case for my G5. Initially COD with one of the forumer for epikcase, its okay just that the case is a bit senget after fitting it onto the phone.

That particular forumer said that he'll check and get back to me. Till now, no news yet. Disappointed, thats why I refused to go back/contact that forumer.

if its epikcase, its senget because the manner you put it in in the first place, not because the case itself is senget. hehehe.. happened to me the first day i got my case, all i did was just fix it myself, force your fingers on both sides of the phone n try to adjust the phone according to which side is it actually senget then its fixed. hehehehe.. the headphone jack hole will the be right on top of the hole of the case

The 1st time I install, it is senget, 2nd installation, perfect, refer to my photo previously posted

face a weird problem juz now at McD..
connect to the wireless there.. when open either browser or market or applanet, the phone will like restart (blank screen n then the android words appear).. after that i check the phone uptime, it's 11hrs...
means that the phone not really rebooted, but more like "explorer hang on windows and the windows will restart again"..
try few times, even after reboot the phone.. still same..
dun hv other wireless to try now..

Din experience this before, weird things always happen,

Thank you for the clarification. I found the settings and it all makes sense now

using eclair now after reflash back from froyo..

Mine connect normal even at LCCT that require press something to begin browsing

Ah maybe thats why. Anyhow, epikcase is the only available case for this phone eh?
