No. You are using Eclair. See the guide in the first page to update to 1.25 RUU version then update to froyo. With froyo, you are unable to root it (yet).

Erm, I'm not sure if the apps require root or not..but I just export my contacts to my SD card. All my message gone. Perhaps you should think about it first..

Erm, once you update to froyo the experience is to be said smooth enough for normal usage. If you are expecting iphone-like speed then beat it, it won't be as fast as iphone. But its enough for playing light games, smsing and other stuffs. The phone won't restart itself (at least mine and few other users here didn't.)

Guys, regarding to the WiFI hotspot.
Let's say I'm using Digi Internet (RM3 for whole day). Means I can use my WiFi hotspot and share with my other friends after i used the RM3 quota? It won't exceed the RM3 and charge me additional fees right? |

QUOTE(b1ackmambo @ Jan 24 2011, 03:28 PM) Hi, i dont know is this the right place to ask for advice. Hope you guys can help me out. I wanted to get a phone, budget around RM900. Nokia E72 and HTC wildfire pops up in my mind. If you only want call and online waiting for customer then I think WF is just fine. It is still able to deliver such service. The purposoe for this phone is only calls, online while waiting customer and stuff only. I did some research and review on these phone, HTC wildfire review not as good as Nokia E72. Some say hang, multiple messege... is that true? I kinda prefer touch screen phone and never tried android b4. Hope u guys can guide me. Thxs !! |

QUOTE(gabriel.l @ Jan 25 2011, 12:28 PM) I'm not sure, try to google it. The video seems unconvincing enough. This is in the descriptionHaven't root my Wildfire yet, just get it for a month. Still sayang. It run smoothly on WIldfire tho http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lZ3y2A32_E&feature=related "HTC WILDFIRE RUNNING ON ANDROID 2.3 ITS TOTALLY AWSOME ITS REALLY QUICK NOW HAS LIVE WALLPAPERS AND A BETTER SCREEN RESOLUTION IF U WANT THE LINK TO DOWNLOAD 2.3 FOR YOUR HTC WILDFIRE PLZ COMMENT ,RATE,AND SUBSCRIBE THANK YOU...." Erm, better screen resolution? I thought its the resolution is hardware-limited? The interface looks laggy too actually. |

QUOTE(gabriel.l @ Jan 25 2011, 02:07 PM) Have to admit that the live wallpapers does not run smoothly but other than that, it is quite ok i guess? Yeah. I would say so. It's not really much different from Froyo actually? The screen resolution can't really see the difference because the video really sucks to the max. |
