Okay guys..Just wondering, can I connect the phone to my laptop's adhoc in anyway to get internet connection?

Because WIFI is not available where I live. (hostel)

From what I've read though, the phone will not be able to connect to Ad-Hoc...

No, the other way around.
Because only my laptop have internet connection, and if I want to have internet for my phone, it has to go through the laptop...

Urh..in that case, I think you need a wireless router? Not too sure. Need to ask techies from the communication area.

Yup..apparently that is the only way. But too bad the University bans the use of Wireless router in our hostel for some unknown reason which I found to be dumb :/

lol definitely not.
I use my laptop more than anything else so..This phone is just a bonus to me.
All these while I've been just using a standard phone and rarely use it others than calling/sms.

I've got dedicated camera and mp3 player for these so...

Is it the resolution of the video problem? I don't think wildfire can support playing high resolutions videos (not even the normal one smoothly.)
btw, head over to v5! http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1741120&st=
