Not sure as i live on the island, not mainland, but i will check it out when i get back to pg somewhere this october. OK nw, this is ma fav jamming spot's details: (since the whacker asked me to put it up)

Name: Jamming Studio (Penang Guitar Center)
Hw 2 get there: Off Burmah road in Georgetown near Seventh Day
Adventist Church.
If you see a Wedding Planner shop somewhere near there, there
should be a lane leading into some rows of houses, follow that lane
for about 10metres and u should see it on ur right (It has the
signboard "Jamming Studio" on top of its front door)
Ok nw, i found the address!: 26, Jln Phuah Hin Leong (Off Burma Rd) 10050 PG
Contact number: 042265895 or Jason 0164440318
Number of studios: 2
Per hr: rm26 (the price might increase adee as i so long nvr go there adee)
rig : Yamaha Stratocasters, Yamaha RBx Basses, Pearl drums, Korg
Keyboards, Sabian cymbals, Marshall amps, & lotsa pedals!
Muahahaha. (Did i mention the DVD player? hhahahaha)
They do have quite impressive recording equipments but i dunno
hw to use them! quite complicated, haha.
Comments: Very good service, polite receptions, good equipment conditions,
pretty much all the best things u can find in a mostly bad
conditioned Penang studios!

Awakening Productions
Address/Landmarks: 33-2(2nd floor), Jalan 4/109F, Taman Danau Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur
Contact Number: 012-3185233
Number of Studios: 1
Per hour: RM25
Additional Info: Quote from my friend "Every big studio ... lotz of room to move around unlike some studios we have been to where they sumbat you into an sardin can. Got huge ... and i mean huge amps there. One bad thing is that you we have to bring our own guitar and bass as well as keyboards ... but that's not a problem for us what. Who wants to use thier guitars anyway"
awakening productions's site

my band jams at this studio & sometimes at the b'sar studio (hse of music & events).

the awakening studio is 1 of the best we've been too. big spacious jamming space plus heaps of guitar amps. (2 peavey 5150s, fender solidstate, peavey bandit with extension cabs, marshall AVT)

they also have 2 drumsets: 1 maxtone & 1 ludwig

so basically any band jamming there can "customise" their own studio by choosing what amps & drumset they want when they jam

plus the studio's so cozy, siap ade sofa in it for you to laze around.

heck! they even provide free drinking water for all the bands

what more can u ask for RM25?

we go to the b'sar studio when the awakening studio is not available. the guys running the place are nice blokes. plus the studio's really great too

What's the address and contact for the bangsar studio? Does it have the same or similar specs and ambience like the awakening in KL?

You are talking about Firejam Studio.

Firejam Studio
Address/Landmarks: 305-C, Lorong Perak, Melawati Square, Taman Melawati, 53100, Kuala Lumpur
Contact Number: 012-6503277 (Nash)
Number of Studios: 1
Per hour: RM25
Additional Info: This is one of my favorites, the room is big, and comfortable, it's really clean, lots of parking available(free) just in front of the studio, and there is a foodcourt behind the studio, it is really convenient.

Equipment wise, there is one Line 6 Spider II halfstack, one MG100 halfstack, and one Laney combo bass amp. Not sure what's the brand of the drums but my drummer loves it. The soundproofing is pretty well done and the acoustic is really good, you can really hear everyone clearly.

They also offer amazing recording quality for an even more amazing price. Call Nash to find out more.
