in order to upgrade firmware via dekstop manager or apploader,u must have activated BIS plan on ur device.

otherwise just wipe full via bbsak and run apploader again. Make sure u has downloaded the firmware first before run apploader and dont forget to del vendor.xml file

Anyone here facing internet connection using wifi with your curve 3G, without subscribing to your telco data plan?
When my wifi n data are ON with NO BIS services paid prior, i can go online but was charged outrageously by digi. I only realized it when digi told me my balance was 0. I thought i was using wifi, but in actual, i was using digi 3G/edge with my credit without digi asking for my consent. This is like daylight robbery.
When i ON my wifi n OFF my data, wifi is shown connected, but still i cant browse no webpage, in both bb browser and opera mini.
I performed reset with quick pull everytime i made these changes, but still nothing works.
What's the point of having wifi then since i cant use it at all even it is connected? Does maxis/hotlink user have this problems?
What settings can i make? My phone is running on OS 6. Thanks

No BIS means no internet for you.

But i read in some topics before where users claimed they were able to browse with WIFI.
Btw, will browse the internet using blackberry internet browser impose WAP charges on me if i m on BIS plan but not mobile internet plan? How about the use the 3rd party apps like whatapps and google map?

what OS are you on? while browsing ensure the top right corner of the screen only have wifi logo.. if not, u need to tweak ur preference settings especially if u are on OS 5.. pls google how, too long to type here =_=
