Anyone here facing internet connection using wifi with your curve 3G, without subscribing to your telco data plan?
When my wifi n data are ON with NO BIS services paid prior, i can go online but was charged outrageously by digi. I only realized it when digi told me my balance was 0. I thought i was using wifi, but in actual, i was using digi 3G/edge with my credit without digi asking for my consent. This is like daylight robbery.
When i ON my wifi n OFF my data, wifi is shown connected, but still i cant browse no webpage, in both bb browser and opera mini.
I performed reset with quick pull everytime i made these changes, but still nothing works.
What's the point of having wifi then since i cant use it at all even it is connected? Does maxis/hotlink user have this problems?
What settings can i make? My phone is running on OS 6. Thanks

But i read in some topics before where users claimed they were able to browse with WIFI.
Btw, will browse the internet using blackberry internet browser impose WAP charges on me if i m on BIS plan but not mobile internet plan? How about the use the 3rd party apps like whatapps and google map?

I am on 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v.6.0.0.546, platform 6.6.0.207), updated from the bb desktop manager. Any earlier version that allows me to go online?
