like u, u like to always test ur ride at top gear track right? i used to love the track too..but ever since i hardcore played PSP GT, my test track for all my cars is all at nurburgring..i love to stack time attack of various cars xD

Don't get offended, I'm not belittling your skills, but honestly, in night and rain condition, that track is the world's freaking hardest track I believe!

can. I ran this track even since GT4 demo was out. Back then the demo has a two minute time limit. So the guys at gtplanet manage to crack the demo and remove the time limit. So i have been practicing the track before GT4 was out.

The Nords track is not exclusive to GT series, dont you know? the track also on Enthusia, Forza, NFS and on PC.

You're seriously one heck of a racing hardcore fanastic.....even I dont take racing too seriously, though most of the games genre i play is racing.

But seriously, maybe the phobia of playing that track is due to GT4.....correct me if I'm wrong, that game seems to suffer from understeering, MOST OF THE CARS. not some.

The 'ring is the best track in he world. I plan to drive it at least once before I die. Was supposed to go last year with a friend but couldn't make it. He rented a Suzuki car with bout 170bhp, but with roll cage n upgraded brakes. His best lap was bout 11 mins plus. At first I was thinking wanna rent a 4wd turbo with at least 300bhp, but I think 170bhp is plenty for beginners. Balls sure shrink when approaching those blind off camber corners in real life, haha.

because on the Nords, there's certain corner you cant just banzai around - for example at the karousel.

hard to pass other cars especially in the corners,cos the road is too small,have to use drafting in the long straights to pass,huhu.

Gaming life only consists of GT5 now. Haven't touched anything else at all. When not free, I leave it in B-spec. I've been waiting 6 years for this game.

Yeah, the 'ring is prone to accidents. You have to buy insurance so if you crash into the armco and otherwise damage the track, it's paid for. My friend was telling me playing the 'Ring in GT4 really helped with memorizing the corners, and he said for the most part, the GT5 representation of the 'Ring is very accurate.

EvoHahn, I would love a ride in the BMW 'Ring taxi with Sabine Schmitz too! But if I'm going to go all the way there, might as well drive it, right? Planning to get the 1/18 Kyosho model of the M5 'Ring Taxi. I was telling my wife about Sabine Schmitz, and that if we ever have a daughter, I might wanna name her Sabine....HAHAHAHA

gold the event after 7 tries and using ds3.useTC7 and skid on(didnt remember if on or not).what i did is overtake 2 cars at 1st corner from inside(very important),2nd and 3rd corner from outside go inside.at long straight entering last corner for the lap you need to time braking with drifting into it.you'll be at 3rd position when going into 2nd lap.

2nd lap halfway through i already on 1st place.

late braking is the key but pain in the arse at same time.

yea... nur.. the green hell.. my favourite track of all...most challenging.

150+ corners if im not mistaken?

i memorize the track already after thousands of laps with many kinds of cars.

its very addicted haha.. this is my 2nd day playing GT5, im currently at lvl 17 and i still havent even touch A-Spec yet haha..jz collect money thru seasonal event n got about 600k and spent on buying stock cars which i love >.<

to memorize, u can use the kerbs, trees and signage.. n since im new to GT5 im glad that they will show the names of every sectors/corners..u can use that to memorize also ^^..

prob that i have now is, tires.. 2 laps is fine, but anywhere beyond that, my grip sucks so bad, probably i brake too much.

in GT5, seasonal event AMG series, i only managed to get gold on the 1st event, the other 4 all silver only.. im just not good with that old benz =.=;;

after reading ur race progress...here's mine.

from 12/12 position.

1st corner - 11/12 (u got 2 i wonder how -.-)
2nd corner - 8/12
3rd corner - 7/12

last corner before lap 2 - 6/12

then the entire 2nd lap, i can only get to 5th coz the grip issue.. i once managed to get 4th, but last corner, the 5th guy got to me ..aih..

ill try ur method later tonite, and of course, late braking is such a gamble but proven effective!
