I've tried running Unity with E17 and it's kinda ugly, probably the distro's fault, but I think PCLOS has better graphics.

Unity with E17? Does not compute to me bro.

I suppose E17 is better on its own.

Don't really like how E17's window border looks like though. But in terms of complexity I have to say it beats even GNOME and KDE rclxub.gif

Not that ugly Canonical's Unity, but THIS Unity:
http://www.unity-linux.org

Let me tell you something, E17 does look beautiful but not on Unity Linux, I looked at E17 screenshots back when it was still in Alpha, it's looks good, so I grab myself a Unity Linux with E17, and it does not look good, kinda disappoint me though.

For some packages that can't be obtained from its repository, I can download it elsewhere and convert it for Slitaz's use as long as it's an RPM or a DEB (now I think I just found a new love whistling.gif)

Not all packages can be converted successfully, or better yet, flawlessly. It depends on the packages.

No doesn't work. Even the Live CD also the same. I think it is the Distro itself. Maybe I wait a while to download and try. Now revert back to Lenny.

No, you have to install the Chinese font. Try this:

Well, let me be honest here. I don't like to use things that too many people use, like Ubuntu and Firefox for example, and they don't even attract me to use them. Exclusivity, ftw.

my pow is a bit wierd:

somehow i sense 'the dude' would take over the role of the leader tha good in selling products (whose cult was responsible for hitting newton on his head), went up to stage and speak the same odd stuff (but in a less charismatic may...) and went something like... 'i introduce you: the *b*n-phoneâ„¢'

i prefer the original, or at least the dude from the movie 'ahoy' of the silicon valley to portray 'em...

btw, i bet you are not one of those 'devil worshipers', or '*rse-*n*l supporters' when comes to english premier league? oh yeah, you'll never walk alo-

*b!tch slapped by mods for posting non related stuff*
*
Yeah, I'm don't support them, I'd rather go with the low-ranked team, because at least they tried their best.

why i still need to put the command "nouveau.modeset=0" at the back line of kernel?
*
If you want to install an nvidia driver, you need to disable the nouveau driver first in order to avoid conflict between the 2 drivers.

Yes, it's the default driver for nvidia cards, it's preinstalled on most distro.

Yes, it's the same. I think graphics card is incompatible with the driver. You are most likely using an onboard Intel graphics or ATI graphics card. Disable nouveau, blacklist it and install your graphics card driver.
