jimlim007: where u got the confirmation? u very sure??
*
i doubt so...
but there's an article on sonyalpharumors.com
it says a new NEX will be announced in the next 2-3 months, and the A77 will be launched 3-4 months after that
which means A77 should be launched around 5-7 months?

ahpingko: yo bro, i own the cokin P series... (tian ya is a copy)... the P series cant be use wider then 24mm on most DT lenses... u will capture the holder into the picture. so UWA is big NO NO. tianya only copy the P series, cokin has the X series meant for UWA even on FF, but the X series is DAMNNN expensive.

on FF< the P series cant use wider then 35mm FF on most lens.

A variable ND filter is just two polarizers on top of each other. You can make your own variable ND filter by screwing a linear polarizer on top of a circular polarizer.

i think 2 CPL will work too
you'll have the choice of rotating either the front CPL or the back CPL

the fader, will not work on UWA. u get wierd cross effect shadow on ur picture.

ahpingko, u can ask me question if u have doubt. uses the item u mention before. for ND, get 77mm and step up filter.

the tianya, the filter adapter is cheap, but i rather get step up ring because i can screw them together and put inside my cokin bag, the filter adapter, if u buy each, since the filter adapter size is 82mm mean u have plenty 82mm ring with u, too big and take a lot space in the cokin bag vs step up where u screw all together and take up 1 space only. they cost about the same (tian ya filter) and step up. but the cokin filter adpater is damn expensive.

Added on January 2, 2011, 11:14 pmat the end of day, the fader, HAS HIGH IQ.,.... so u need 2 high end CPL (let say hoya HD) which cost both 77mm over 600myr.... fader only myr 4000... stick with fader... LCW original one

evil, pointless ler, how u going to reverse it? reverse ring? u make ur filter 10mm thick? then u get vigneting up to 24mm ler...

Added on January 2, 2011, 11:31 pmand if ur previous PL is less then 77mm, then u get 2 of same pl size wasting money oh.... and then, the IQ will be affected...

well, what if u one day change to tamron that is 67mm or sigma kitlens which is 72mm?

the step up will not cause vigneting, but the holder of P series dont really allow u to shoot at 18mm also.

for ND, depends on u, "how many stop down you need" and always bring tripod along...

ND8 now is standard because u can always pump iso when the shutter speed too low

67zai, it depend on u. 35mm is shorter, while 50mm is longer. prespective wise, definitely the 50mm is nicer. but 35mm might be much more comfortable to use

pendant? u dont need that 2 prime la.. use kitlens enough, kitlens has shorter MFD, close up require lots of DOF to have sharp picture, so u will end up shooting at F8 above. what u need is flash.
