QUOTE(takercena @ Dec 18 2010, 01:30 AM) Yes I want them to stop this mess. I want the internet to be back like it was before this mess started in November and all hell broke loose.QUOTE But if you don't have a faith on GLC company, better not voting. I don't think any person, not just me, would ever have faith in such a company. All we're asking for is transparency in the contract and a good service. Are we asking for much? |

QUOTE(vapeace @ Dec 18 2010, 01:33 AM) is good to a certain extent where those heavy 1tb downlaoder learn their lesson but bad as TM have not give clear definition on what they plan to do No no guys..Forget about the 1TB downloaders. They're insane bandwidth eaters. I'm talking about us 1Mbps users who download ~30GB a month. If it matters to you, my usage is mainly downloading HD video podcasts from Miro. They are 100% legit videos, nothing illegal. Go check if you don't believe me. So the question is. Yes is good/bad for what? No is good/bad for what? |

QUOTE(vapeace @ Dec 18 2010, 01:45 AM) like i mention Ok I got your drift. You make an excellent point. As you said, they need to be transparent about how they categorize a heavy user versus a light user.TM have yet to give a clear defination on what are lite or waht is heavy user ? for example, some mak cik pak cik use 1mbps view email or online news.. they sure use less than 10gb pr month.. u use 30gb ? so TM will consider you heavy or lite user ? That is what we dont know.. This is the bad i highlighting |

QUOTE(birain @ Dec 18 2010, 01:41 AM) i don't this is a good idea doing the survey here, maybe the star poll would be a better platform. we need all the voices of streamyx users in Malaysia to cast their votes. nobody should be left out. +1 Agreed! Spread this poll out. Let it go to The Star Online! Let thousands vote, instead of a few hundred here. But make the poll more understandable for goodness sake! QUOTE(mylinear @ Dec 18 2010, 01:54 AM) Again, I think nobody should vote without full info and answers. This is like forcing something upon users through other users. Yes. Do NOT vote peeps! I did my part and did NOT vote yet as the poll is quite "blurry" so far. Why vote on something you're unsure of yet? It's no different than immediately signing a 10-page contract without reading a word... or something like that. |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Dec 18 2010, 02:02 AM) Come on, TM has the list of all its users. A web page set up for a survey by them or an email sent out to all the users is the way. They cannot do that?? Coming to think of it, your suggestion is the optimum method of making a survey in my opinion. I have my own suggestion too: Send out SMS messages to TMnet subscribers to their mobile phones at a suitable time of the day and ask them to vote for free by keying in a set of numbers or letters or both and sending to 2222 or whatever their number is. |

I read every person's post and saw the slides.
What's really bugging me, apart from all this nonsense TM is planning to do, is why on earth am I paying RM99 while others are paying RM88??????? |

- Let the speeds be fast as it was before the mess began.
- 30-40GB monthly limit for 1Mbps streamyx users (Price= RM88 or less nationwide + STANDARDIZED) That's all I care about. Deal with it TM. |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Dec 19 2010, 06:33 PM) are u fuking out of your mind? 30~40gb for 1mbps user? GTFO dude,i normal usage for 5 days already can reach up to 15gb total. the 15gb ITS WITHOUT ANY DOWNLOAD You might want to mind your French, dude.use your brain before saying out words QUOTE(takercena @ Dec 19 2010, 07:20 PM) Since two people disagree with my proposal, I will take back what I said regarding the 30-40GB monthly limit. It was unreasonable of me to count only one family's usage. But at the same time, people on this thread have already pointed out (according to speculations from TM) that a user/users who download(s) 25GB or over (per month) is/are classified as a heavy user(s). That is purely why I chose 30-40GB. I don't want people to look at me as a person who changes their words as they please. I say this because I already mentioned in another thread on this forum that I use ~30GB per month downloading HD video podcasts + HD or non-HD streaming and general surfing.Whatever floats your boat I guess. But I am still in favor of standardizing 1Mpbs prices to RM88 or less, nationwide. This post has been edited by Oga: Dec 19 2010, 07:37 PM |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Dec 19 2010, 07:50 PM) I do not think we should accept that 25GB figure from TM. I for one do not want the monthly limit to be implemented and do not agree to such a decision. I said what I said (and took it back) because it seems that they will implement some sort of limit one way or another whether we like it or not.I hope you read my post #414. I think we are on the wrong track of trying to decide what is fair for everyone when there should be no need to do so. QUOTE If you use 30GB, do you consider yourself as a heavy user if you are doing normal surfing activities? You will never get an accurate answer to such a question simply because every person categorizes a heavy user differently. Same goes for normal surfing activities. What is normal to me might not be normal to you and vice versa. Since you're asking, first of all (we're talking only about 1Mbps package), I can easily use over 30GB if I wanted to. My personal view is that if a person uses ~30GB he/she is definitely not a heavy user. I never referred to myself as a heavy user anyway. To me, if you use ~90-100GB then and only then will I classify you as a heavy user. I hope you all understand that these are merely my personal views. I hope it's clear now. |
