@MX510
as you said there is TM staff/TM high level people looking at our comment...but i wonder why there is not even a single reply from them? are they really looking into the problem?

well....for me the ultimate best solution are still putting monthly CAP on it...but NOT SOME RIDICULOUS CAP LIMIT like 60gb for a 5mbps CONNECTION!

the CAP must not divided into daily and if the user really used up all the bandwitdh the user will got throtle down eg. 5mbps unifi would be down till 1mbps nod.gif

im so suprise with the vote result , over 270+ members agree not to revise current FUP?which means left TM to throttle us??
i seen alot complain tm with crappy speed due to throttle , but the result seems like different , lyn members vote to keep FUP????
Quota sounds alot better for me , since bandwidth is not free , alot develop country deploy quota as well
so can one of 270 voters answer me why not to revise FUP?
i believe quota can let consumer to go full speed all the time until hit quota
unlike current situation , we dont know when we gonna get crappy speed...tm suka suka throttle...esp in some urgent situation , something need to be upload or download

damn support this....as their some what FUP system are just pure crap.

@MX510
if said so...this thread can unpin it and /kolos it...there is no need further discussion since TM doesnt want to DISCUSS at all.

this were the best place to talk about it.

While I agree the quota system is doable and also it's been used rather successfully in alot of countries, you might see it is a good choice for us but you need to consider our broadband option. Just go through a few countries and you will see they have the options to at least choose from two or more ISP instead of one. So you think after they revise FUP will they promise us to not suka suka throttle? Especially when you say in urgent situation, given that they just launched Unifi, which worsen the whole current situation

IMHO, there are nothing to discuss here. Either you provide us with options to choose another ISP or you continue your monopoly with the limited bandwidth but still keep urging us to go "HIGH SPEED BROADBAND" aka Unifi

The fact that so many people voted No for the poll shows how many people can't take TM shit anymore. Throttle when running out of bandwidth while there are no FUP written, changing policy statement without letting the customer know, shitty customer service, the list goes on.

make it simple...wad TM doing are just like putting a 5.0 litre engine into a car but limit the speed to 50km/h

Pathetic attempt by a GLC... They intent to make little investments but want to make as much cash as they can as a monopoly... Its a real disgusting piece of business... If they could, they'd charge everyone RM 88 a month for not using the internet...

The capping TM has been suggesting shows how poor they have been in planning and strategizing plus how little they care about their subscribers... 60GB for 5Mbps for UniFi and 25GB for 4Mbps and 10GB for 1Mbps is a joke... We are already paying an extremely high price for outdated technology... Its not the public's fault if TM is incompetent in providing proper service...

TM is going on the assumption that if minus piracy, internet users are only going to use the internet for YouTube and Facebook... Goes to show the people in TM are dumb idiots who just refuse to do any market research, or is it perhaps they just don't care since they are a full time monopoly...

Internet evolution is not something you can predict... Just look at how the internet has evolved from  Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 and any moment now, we could going to Web 3.0... People now can Skype with HD webcams and people can now stream all sorts of internet podcast and download interactive LEGAL contents... Next stage of the internet development is going to see the growth of Cloud Computing...

Do TM actually take these things into consideration or do they intent to ignore all these things and only do something about it when these things become a norm??? Typical GLC always planning for short-term profits... On what bloody research did TM base on when they came up with these caps??? How do they which is the right amount for each customer??? Why do they go on the assumption that there's a chance that every customer in an area is going to be online at the same to download something???

Just because they failed to plan in providing ports and bandwidth simply because they weren't intelligent enough to plan, doesn't mean they have a right to bluff consumers... I'm leaving TM if they ever implement this cap... They can't even provide 4Mbps in my area despite numerous inquiries but they want me not use the internet while still paying RM 88??? I don't think so!!!

dont have to said TM ini itu already.....

they just want make more money from US biggrin.gif rclxms.gif

btw...at those apa gathering gathering are useless no ppl dare to voice out the real problem. all they know its sit and listen to TM crap

I'm not sure if you all people ... living under the two tall pointing sticks... aware that the definition of "Broadband Internet" had changed since July 2010 by The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ? Internet speed with 200 Kilo bit per second (200 Kbps) is no longer called broadband anymore. FCC officially announced 4 Mega bit per second (4 Mbps) downstream and 1 Mega bit per second (1 Mbps) upstream is now the minimum speed to be called "Broadband Internet"

Original news here

And you people here still having so much trouble to keep up with .... 1 Mbps? the outdated technologies? for so many years still no real solution for home user? Maybe your government think majority of you do not deserve to enjoy quality modern life. With this changed, your ISP need to redefine the definition of Broadband in their Fair Usage Policy. All advertisement with broadband speed less than 4 Mbps are now "unofficial" .. or false advertisement.
