Hmm. Maybe it was downloading the update to the phone rather than installing. That can happen. I think.

i think this is better

On your device, find and open the registryeditor
Now enter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI\Available and add a new string.

Now enter your locale, I used 0414
Name: 0414
Then enter you languages name in
Value: Norsk

If it was English/WWE then it would ofcourse look like this:
Name: 0409
Value: English

Exit the editor.
Next step in adding your language will not be done before after updating to 7403 (That is where I did it)
If you have added a language that Mango don't support, then the update to 7403 will fail. Or if you have done it incorrect/spelled wrong etc, then the update to Mango will also fail

u dont need to add whatsapp's contact. because whatsapp are registered with ya mobile number. so once u sign on and verified ya phone no. it will gather all those whatsapp user which registered their mobile no. with whatsapp and appear on ya whatsapp favourite tab.

yes. its still a bit laggy. but again. thats a beta. and wat better than kik

yup a bit laggy when u open it every time ... but still can bare ...
the live tile will give u notification like sms ... the thing is the notification to the sender as in the delivery thick (2nd thick) will only be received when the receiver open the msg ... so if it just stuck at the live tile notification, the sender wont get the 2nd thick.
That is my observation

other then that seems more or less like the whatsapp on android

Do play around with the unit before you buy. i saw many bought it because of the price not because the phone suite them and at the end they hate it.

Do take note that new firmware code name "Mango" is not officially released yet for all HTC phone in the market now. those forumer who claims that they are having "Mango" most likely are some unofficial leak from certain web site and they risked their chance to flash "Mango" in their device.

Do take note also flashing to unofficial ROM might leak to "bricking" ya device and those are not cover under official warranty. Do understand what you might come to before you flash. Do full understand the whole process before you carry on with unofficial ROM flashing.

External cause like internet connection and any unexpected hardware or electricity failure will brick the device as well.

Currently there is no Mozart in the market reported come with "Mango".

i hereby do advise those who are having "Mango" on their device. Do not lurke newbie on Mango ROM. As you are clear there are casses some newbie bricked their device because not proper guide are given to them.

If newbie would like you help on "Mango". kindly PM them. but again its up to them have spare time to help you or not.

and lastly... whatsapp is not official yet. :-p

Yeah. I did comprehensive search on WP7. I was refering to "beta" or leaked build from xdadev.
I've done numerous flashings to other platforms so I know the consequences.
But still, this is gonna be my first WP7 device so might as well laid out my plans right. tongue.gif

Yeah. I know it's beta. But I still wanna get 'em. biggrin.gif
Thanks.

most likely 7720.68 is the final RTM one that will be released to public ... since it was lying around for dev like a few months back ...
Pls use the update link that I posted ... the xda link

there were links posted a few pages back on the links to whatsapp app ... but u have to sideload it ... meaning u have to unlock ur dev 1st and it will only run on Mango as of now...

yea that's what i thought from seeing the video .
seems like its not actually really running background .
i hate the part that u need to resume apps T_T
i think its better if they could implement fast switching .
at least put it in zombie state with packet sniffer or something to fasten the chatting process .
