Are the apps still choppy on WP7? Last I remember, the Facebook, Twitter, BoardExpressPro etc all the apps are really choppy, scrolling not smooth at all.
Kinda sad to see an OS that is so fluid being destroyed by sub-par apps that are barely usable.
On a HD7? that would be slow due to the slow storage n can't retrieve images properly. So that would be caused by the HTC factor instead of poor apps
I m using LG, the choppiness you are refering to is like when you scroll Facebook newsfeed or twitter timeline the device tries hard to keep up and display the avatar pictures right ? Doesn't happen on LG, compared with my friends hd7 before

Skype makes calls using your DATA CHARGES, who say's you're not paying telco? Don't forget data charges can be voice than voice charges in certain situations.
Yes, the official YouTube app is pretty useless for browsing, but you should still install it so that the video codec is available for other apps that might need it.

Ahaha kinda true on that part . i just hope they stick with the major part they mentioned and add skype . actually, was hoping for some sort of viber, what's app, ebuddy and such . mainly cause others are using these to contact ppl . seldom ppl contact via YM, MSN, FB chat and such
For 3rd party apps, pester the App makers. I think for WhatsApp, they want unfetered access to the contacts list in order to be able to automagically create your contact list.
