I Just found out that the best stock for 2010 in  KLSE is
SEP
If purchase on 4 Jan 2010 at 0.28
you can sell it on 17 Aug 2010 at 2.90
You had made just short of 1000%

SAPRES

If you purchase on 4th Jan 2010 at 0.33
you can sell it on  11 Aug at 1.72
for a 420% profit.

So it is not going to be the big name to super perform

and why pay more tax in Malaysia?we all know how our government use the tax fund.

of coz u r rite. does it mean u gonna participate & be active in the usa forum instead?
well, I jus doing my part to help the newbies & my sifu says its best we share, so I share lo laugh.gif
hmm, u can consider to hav an open mind set (TA) & set aside 30% of ur fund for goreng short term play too

then u can get hefty gain ..after paying tuition fees & gaining experience shakehead.gif
in this bolehland lyn forum, we can either work together TA/FA & fight against those IB/ analyst who likes to murder ikan bilis flex.gif
anyway, all the best camping in, wherever u r gonna go nod.gif

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Sep 26 2011, 06:18 PM)
LOL,actually I was confused what kind of investor are you.but it doesn't matter to me.
he said the best stock to own,not every stock. wink.gif
plus how many stock in Malaysia worth to hold for forever?my personal opinion is none of them.

This country is very small, there is no stock like home depot, P&G , coca cola , mastercard , burberry list to go..
only few maybe suitable to own for very long term but definitely not forever.
I am more toward value investing,I focus on value and treat a stock like a business.
TA/ trader type (IMO) more focus on treating stock like commodity/inventory.
TA or FA,it doesn't matter .As long as it works well for you right?
Anyway thanks to answer me curiosity. laugh.gif

Regarding 5 best stock list picked in Malaysia for long run,IMHO it is very limited amount and most of them are overvalued and famous. Most of the long term investor here are aiming almost the same list.So nothing new in the list...

The only reason it is worth pick some small stock here is because of the CGT benefit that encourage more short term orientated. It is not surprise to see most of play short term here.A lot of stock is undervalued here, but at the same time due to poor corporate governance and information asymmetry punish most of the small caps and medium caps here too.

Happy investing and congrats for your huge gain.I will start become inactive here (stock exchange) since there is really not much to discuss about.

Markets Update. Stocks Slide With Morgan Stanley Off 10%, But Dow Up For Week
Stocks opened in negative territory Friday, stayed there all day and closed near their lows for the session.

The Nasdaq shed 2.6%, the S&P 500 2.5% and the Dow Jones industrial average 2.2%. Unconfirmed data showed volume finished mixed, decreasing from Thursday's level on the Nasdaq, but increasing on the NYSE.

Morgan Stanley (MS) fell hard, sliding 10% in big turnover. Analysts said investors are worried about Morgan Stanley's exposure to European banks. The nation's No. 2 investment bank has lost more than half its value since hitting a high in February. It's well below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.

For the week, the Nasdaq lost 2.7%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.4%. The Dow managed to gain ground, advancing 1.3%.

For the third quarter, the S&P 500 shed 14%, the Nasdaq 13% and the Dow 12%. It was the worst quarter since 2008 for the S&P 500.

In economic news Friday, the Chicago purchasing managers index unexpectedly rose to 60.4 for September, easily above views. The final figure for the Reuters/University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index was 59.4, above forecasts. Personal income dipped 0.1% and spending rose 0.2% in August. The income figure missed expectations, while spending matched views.

On Monday, Wolverine World Wide (WWW) is among the companies expected to report quarterly earnings. The day's economic news will include fresh readings for auto sales, a key manufacturing index and construction spending.

jupiter expects 1300 soon, rhb downgrade year end target to 11xx and next year to 13xx.
when bull market, everyone bull bull. when bear market, bear bear.
while rhbcap so very bearish on banking sector, they wants to buy osk.
when all IBs so very bearish on properties stocks, Sime wanna buy E&O with 57% premium, and PNB wanna buy Spsetia.
this is why rich gets richer, poor gets poorer.

Jesse Livermore timeless advise withstands the test of time notworthy.gif
http://books.google.com.my/books?id=fvt8DU...epage&q&f=false

That is about all I had learned, to study general conditions, to take a position and stick to it. I can wait without a twinge of impatience. I can see a setback without being shaken, knowing that it is only temporary. I have been short one hundred thousand shares and I have seen a big rally coming. I have figured, and figured correctly, that such a rally as I felt was inevitable, and even wholesome, would make a difference of one million dollars in my paper profits.

And I nevertheless have stood pat and seen half my paper profit wiped out, without once considering the advisability of covering my shorts to put them out again on the rally, I knew that if I did, I might lose my position and with it the certainty of a big killing. It is the big swing that makes the big money for you. If I learned all this so slowly, it was because I learned by my mistakes, and some time always elapses between making a mistake and realizing it, and more time between realizing it and exactly determining it.
