all green so far.
asian green, europe green, us green.
what is this green?
a green in a bear market as what maybank said?
or a recovering of a correction in a bull market?

and yes, i know, this is a billion dollar question.  biggrin.gif
wondering during 2008, what did those research houses say? they said it's a correction? or they said it's a bear coming?  hmm.gif

ya, after all, they are just human. i guess. smile.gif

out of a sudden, many research houses warn us of a bear in mid term now. Just last month, they still agree that it's a "super bull" coming. cool2.gif

i guess we gotta invest with backing of a good strategy nowadays.
and i need to change my strategy now.
the first thing is, buy and hold % in my portfolio must be reduced. hmm.gif

Absolutely right!
Where I go for my lunch in Lucky Garden (That's where my Indian barber is, who gives me all the stock tips brows.gif) - the prices have gone up +/- 20% hmm.gif

Actually, better than buy the shop to sell yourself is to own the shop-lot and then rent out the space to lots of the small chicken-rice/pan mee/rojak/nasi guys.
hmm.gif

Then - they do all the hard work and you still get the benefit as you say - but got NO WORK TO DO..... drool.gif

HI BROTHER,

Stock to Watch

Tradewinds Corporation Bhd has returned to the black with a pre-tax profit of RM155.3 million for the financial year 2010 from a pre-tax loss of RM6.6 million in the previous year.

The improvement was attributable to higher revenue generated, better share of associates results, fair value gain on investment properties and financial assets.

Tradewinds Corporation's revenue rose to RM562.6 million from RM474.2 million previously, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

It said the increase in revenue was mainly due to an overall improvement in hotel, trading and financial services divisions and the sale of land by the property division.

Moving forward, Tradewinds said the financial performance of the hotel division was not expected to show any improvement compared to 2010 due to refurbishments being carried out in certain hotels.

The refurbishment of the hotels, which will be completed in stages, was expected to benefit the group in the medium term, it said.

The property investment performance, meanwhile, would be affected as the group was embarking on the re-development of Menara Tun Razak and a construction of a new tower block.

As a result of fair value accounting, the group will be impacted in the short term. The re-development, however, will have positive impact in the longer term. -- Bernama

I would like to share too... tongue.gif

This is perhaps (almost) realtime stock watch excel file, data obtain from Yahoo Finance.

Instructions:
For Excel 2003 or earlier users, download LYN_Realtime_Stock_2003.pdf and rename to LYN_Realtime_Stock_2003.xls
For Excel 2007 or 2010 users, download LYN_Realtime_Stock_07_10.pdf and rename to LYN_Realtime_Stock_07_10.xlsm

Note: This is an excel file which contain macro, basically used to obtain stock information from Yahoo Finance server. No worry, it contains NO malicious code that will harm your computer.

Once you successfully open the excel file, excel will normally block the active content, which is the macro. Excel will prompt you to enable or not.
You must enable the active content for the macro to run properly.

Once you enable it, you can start using and edit the excel file.

The yellow area is for you to enter your favourite stock code, the stock code must have ".KL" added behind the stock code, as shown in the spreadsheet.
The grey are is the last trade price for the stock you specified, the price will update automatically if you have "AutoRefresh" checked. Otherwise, you can manually refresh the price by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F5.

Note: Column A to column E are active columns, meaning the macro will get or modify information on those columns. You can modify your own column starting from column F onwards.

You can select any information you want to get from Yahoo Finance server from the drop down list at row 6 starting from column B to column E.

Play with the excel file and you able to discover more!

Any doubts, feel free to ask me. smile.gif

Wow....we shared quite a lot of same counters, though different buying price, as you enter quite late. Anyway, I'm WB type of investors, so I should not be bother by market noise right? Nevertheless, I do offload some position before the CNY and yet to buy back as I wanna give the CLSA feng shui prediction a try. Waiting to buy some now especially after some time of not buying stocks. blush.gif

LOL rat not in the rating laugh.gif

All in all, the year of the Metal Rabbit provides great opportunity for investors to reap the rewards of astute investing, but they should be forewarned: those who chase two rabbits will not catch one.

Does it implying NOT to diversify ?
