Hi guys, I'm playing in Oceania - Frostmourne.

I am new to WoW and have a human paladin. However, I would like to know wether there are any other race/classes out there that are easier to maintain and level up alone. I don't run into many people in WoW and they don't really talk, and my friends are DoTA nerds who will never touch WoW (must pay ma!).

I would appreciate it if you guys would give me some insights on the classes that are easier for me to level up solo. And if you guys play Frostmourne, mind helping me out sometime? tongue.gif

Hehe, I made a human hunter toon. Level 5 now, it's quite easy to kill as my wolf pet (wow, just started and they gave me a pet!) would rush in and attack my foes, reducing battle time by half!

Playing in NA server now, Agrammar.

@Deimos: Apa tu "angry messenger"

i would suggest the following 2 classes: -
- hunter for having a pet to tank and an pseudo-infinite resource system (focus)
- paladin as a dps class which could heal himself, wearing plate and a truckload of oh-shit ability

mage is quite fragile, and the game mechanics doesnt allow them to aoe kill till later levels

but if you play arcane, then you can probably kill mob in 2-4 ABs biggrin.gif

by "level solo" i'll take it as : solo elite quest mob(aka. 2~3 group quest) plus the long grind with little down time.

i would say
demo warlock, hunters, affliction lock,
aoe, one by one, solo group quest, little or no downtime, all good
you only stop when either you ran out of quest mob, or your eyes are tired.

next would be

feral druid,
one by one, solo elite, no downtime.

frost/arcane mage, Boomkin(balance druid),
master of aoes, but need to eat or drink.

i'm not sure of, but they maybe good but with some downtime:
enhance shammy, paladins, rogue(maybe)

What's wrong with leveling as a Paladin? I've leveled Protection Paladins for the last 3 expansions and have enjoyed it immensely. While I miss the TBC days of nuking down 30+ mobs in one go in Shadowmoon Valley, low-level Cataclysm leveling has been just as fun. 5-6 closely packed mobs typically call for careful planning for others, while I rub my hands in glee.

However, I think you're approaching this game with a misconception regarding WoW classes. In WoW, all classes can level efficiently. The main factor is the Talent Specialisation you choose.

I've got one of each class at level 80 (2 85s atm) and I have to say, prot paladins are pretty easy to level - can't recall if AoE grinding is still feasible but I got from 1-70 in 15 hours played thanks to AoE grinding back in the day. Just levelled a shaman, priest and warrior to 80 shortly before Cataclysm was released and of the lot, I found that the warrior was the easiest to level imo. Spec prot and then farm instances. Got from 1-80 in about a week and a half thanks to instant tank queues. If instance running isn't your preferred style, I recommend trying out an enhancement shaman. Virtually no downtime (unless you decide to pull 20 mobs at one go), easily solo elites and good survivability. If you enjoy pet classes, warlocks are definitely pretty awesome. Affliction locks have no downtime - spam dots and fear (I used to run around, dot 10-15 mobs and then pop Howl of Terror). Personally, I reckon the hunter was the most boring class to level. Everything seemed far too easy and I was dozing off half the time in instances.

take your question "easy solo leveling" as "easy solo quest"
as long as u understand the strength of classes, all would be easy! (craps)
