the duty tax is calculated on 10% off ur item value INCLUSIVE of postage
so if ur postage is not stated, they run their own approx which can be more than actual shipping cost the other thing is they probably top another rm50 service charge for duty fee processing, if the item u claim is slightly over rm500 |

QUOTE(Glamourousfit @ Aug 16 2012, 05:12 PM) You are so lucky. ASOS delivered on 30 June however I didnt receive anything till now. I guess it is not ASOS problem. Cos they are willing to refund or replace the item. But I suspect it is either Custom M'sia or Pos M'sia who are not honest. I stayed in apartment. Guess my mail box in the lobby may not be big enuf for the pkg neither will they come to my unit to deliver it...so I guess it is donated already. my last 2 delivery was quite fast, ~ 1 week and was during ramadhan periodAnd I have already email to Pos M'sia, item cannot be traced. And yes cos it was non trackable item delivery .. also all my delivery is sent to my office so theres always someone to receive |

QUOTE(Jianny @ Nov 6 2012, 03:22 PM) My first order was around 200GBP and kena ~RM150 duties but I got to track the shipment. <RM500 item value + postageThen the next time I gatai order 1 by 1 to not exceed 50GBP per order, can't do the tracking but they eventually arrivrd after 9 to 10 days. I wonder if anyone knows how much exactly the order cannot exceed in order to lari cukai? if ur postage is not indicated, customs will use their own estimation |

QUOTE(EvilBeing @ May 5 2013, 02:19 AM) I've informed ASOS, got refunded, but was wondering if anyone else had the same issue. Pity ASOS also, it's not their fault. Is it advisable to file police report? Already raised a complain to P. Malaysia but they just gave a generic answer that they will get back to me bla bla bla. I know it was my fault not to use express postage with tracking but then again these culprits are not supposed to be stealing our mails..!! Such donkeys. mine is PJ im like 11/11 lol |

delivery normally i say 20 days ish
as for the tax clarification; its taxable for value of >RM500 ( item declared INCLUSIVE of postage) if no postage is stated, pos malaysia will calculate themself |
