guys, im trying to serach for flipfont apk but quite hard to get the font that i want..but at the end i manage to get the zip type..it got "META-INF & system" folder inside the zip files..do i have to flash the zip in CWM to install the font?

Yes mine is fine with jpu and jpx
In fact most users report good GPS lock and accuracy with jpu.

mine doesnt lock at all... mostly during the night its fine but during the day.... oh god i feel like throwing it like a brick...
the best lock i can get is from google maps thru home wifi...

try to use gps status
it sometimes helps fix the gps issue making it lock faster

does this includes chinese language?

that gps status is an app??? wat should i do with it?

I use mine "out of the box." No other fixes like editing GPS.conf or messing withe GPS settings with dialer.

Did you edit yours? If you did you can try a factory reset/undo changes manually and try again. Some reported after a few phone restarts the GPS tend to get better too.

By the way I use papago x5 from market although Google maps works just as fine.

Also something to note. The weather and where you place the phone affects the GPS as well. For instance I get less accuracy during cloudy skies or if I place my phone "in" the dashboard of my car. You should place it as close to windscreen as possible.

Nope previously i done some tweaking but then it is reset to the default settings by now with all the flashings and so on.
I'm using Papago as well... seriously hard to get a lock... too hard

I am trying download from official page and it got like 5 files of 40MB, with the download speed 10KB/s it will take ages to complete.

Maybe you can lay out in detail the rom kernel etc you are using. Also how you flashed to those roms. Maybe then someone here can also lend a hand.

Last but not least have you ever had good GPS? What rom were you using then?

Added on December 19, 2010, 1:50 pmcurrently using Darky's v5.6 with base firmware XXJPU...
I flashed XXJPU with Odin and root using ChainFire's root then installed CWM thru recovery 2e. From there, i used CWM to proceed into Darky's v5.6
thats all i did.

Rarely had any good signal, only once, at night, 2 weeks ago i think. Back then was just stock JPA but after that night nvr had any good GPS signal as well
