Don't remember if I mentioned this in the V2 thread, but my number plate is falling off LOL. Need to buy better tape. Proton is not very serious about impressing early customers >.< The handbrake position is an annoyance too. Wish they had properly localised it. Engine compartment seems to get very bloody hot. I could not pop the hood afetr driving for 20 mins today, as the lever to release the hood catch was burning hot. Had to use a key to push it sideways so I could lift it up. Don't know if this is a result of proton redesigning the bumper. The temperature meter on the multifunction display doesnt show any warnings though, so I hope that's ok. A little worried Driving is still very fun, today a car honked and gave me the haha.

Of course an engine gets hot haha, that's obvious. But proper design would have at least cover the tab to unlatch the hood in some material other than bare metal. It was seriously too hot to touch. Sticking a key in to unlatch is not a terribly great idea lol, as you may end up scratching the car somewhere. Anyway, I think I'll DIY something so that next time I need to pop the hood, I won't burn my fingers. Even the bonnet stand was too hot to handle with my bare fingers. Fortunately the stand had the rubber ring to prevent noise, and that was not hot at all. Maybe I have weak fingers >.<

QUOTE(apache_utara @ Dec 12 2010, 11:27 PM) Weird, i don't have that problem. parked the car at open carpark, popped the hood at noon before driving just to check, not that hot to open You popped before driving, I popped after drivign around the city. Would you mind checking next time so I can verify if this is normal or not? This post has been edited by fariz: Dec 13 2010, 10:00 AM

QUOTE(jeromejero @ Dec 13 2010, 01:21 PM) hi, i tried reading through the forums for my particular question but a bit confusing n damn long just wondering, anyone with a 1.8cvt inspira, the doors don't auto lock right? u need to actually manually lock it yourself? cos mine doesnt seem to autolock like my old myvi. secondly, how u all mount your front number plate? my dealer actually just used double sided tape so to not drill into the front on the car. thanks! Mine was mounted with double sided tape as well, only 4 pieces of tape, so I added more as my front right side was coming off already QUOTE(dessimo @ Dec 13 2010, 01:23 PM) Announcing the arrival of my new baby 1.8M Black. She's beautiful. Still new so not gonna push her hard for the time being. I'm posting this from my mobile and can't seem to upload the pics, pls forgive me noob-ness. Everythings perfect. QUOTE(dessimo @ Dec 13 2010, 05:00 PM) Thanks dudes! Well I'm planning to attach a spoiler and add an F1 style external brake light. The rest just leave it stock. What about you? Wow, nothing that serious. Thinking more about things like those paint protection like sierraglow or PPS, since black gets dirty really quick. In the future, probably some kit ( = What I really want to do is remove the spare and lower the boot >.<
is it can use for our inspira?
Need to ensure that the diameter are the same with the original 16" on the car. else gonna get the car imbalance. unless its the OEM spare for mitsubishi.... should be the same. pics are for what car? lgt ?
You don't need to ensure it's the same diameter, the suspension system should compensate somewhat for it. It's an emergency tyre anyway. Not meant for traveling long distance, just maybe 10km to the nearest tyre shop. Sierra Glow... Can't find any long term reviews of it >.< A little bit afraid to get it done.

Oooh! That's good news about the plate. Your dealer screwed in the plates for you? Demn, I must get this done too. PPS need to maintain every 6 months >.< I think if I ever do this, I'll guinea pig on Sierra Glow haha. http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?showtopic=8968024 pages worth of Sierra Glow Experience. Sounds pretty good. This post has been edited by RahXeph0n: Dec 14 2010, 12:52 AM

Drove to the nearest service center just now and got my plates screwed in. It's not as nice as it was if it were taped to the bumper, as the edges are now jutting out a little, But at least I'll have peace of mind that nothing will fall off when I drive a little faster lol. The SA claimed that proton did not provide them with the screw for the bumper, that's why they had to resort to tape.

QUOTE(darkangel7 @ Dec 15 2010, 09:40 AM) i don't have a proper camera with me.. maybe tomorrow la.. by the way, the metal part is inside the bumper.. if you look from underneath the car, it's the metal piece that that diffuser is connected to.. Okay, will take a closer look today. I did not really look under the car the other day when trying to check this out. Thanks!

QUOTE(Black3210 @ Dec 16 2010, 11:52 PM) RahXeph0n, dessimo, mosar, jychow, hellcutespawn, apache_utara, zaeim66, darkangel7, jeromejero Guys, any more good review bout the car so far? Condition? or bad review Can I know which date do you guys book also? Car is still in "running/breaking in" period, so I havent really pushed it. Overall, I like the drive, I'm not too used to the engine sound, Maybe I'm imagining things but it seems to be a little harsher now (400km), probably because the engine is new, and the 1k service is nearing. I'm also getting used to the gear ratios + engine CC combo. That last manual I drove was my wira 1.5 for a few years, and the shifting pattern is so different. My 1.8m for example, runs really great at 3k RPM. This equates to shift from 1-2 at 30+kmh, 2-3 at 60+kmh, and 3-4 at nearly 100 kmh. Definitely something I'm not used to. But it feels great to drive . I'm also getting used to the precision of the steering compared to my waja. Potholes and off camber that knock the car in a sideways motion tend to cause my hands to move a little bit, and this small movements feel like they are translated immediately to the wheels. Almost like there's not free play (like in an electric steering) Not a bad thing I guess, but needs getting used to, and can be dangerous. Overall? Very happy with the car.

Was going through my manual, and it fell apart LOL. the binding = fail. Is it only mine or all copies? Think I can request a new one? lol.
I usually like to set my car's air-con to blow both the top and bottom (legs) ventilators. I noticed that in my car, the leg ventilators seem to be blowing out warm or slightly warm (most of the time, not cold) air. Is this an unique problem to me? A bit concerned that my engine compartment is getting too hot that it is affecting the ducting below.

QUOTE(mosar @ Dec 20 2010, 07:57 PM) thats where the carpet ends..then the light grey is soundproofing material..it aint actually pretty, but for me it doesnt really matter.. I believe the guy was commenting about the gap of the left side, the part where the foot well trimming meets the dash trimming, indeed there is a huge gap there. LOL.
