yes, it will be rejected most of the time bcoz of over credit limit
and for some bank such as RHB, there is a over limit charge once this happens

meaning your transaction won't go thru and you hv to pay the bank
*
you mean pay the bank for the over limit charges then only the over limit transaction can go through?

no, the transaction will not go thru
but the bank will charge you let say RM50 for trying to swipe beyond ur CL

if the bank let the transaction go thru, you might also need to pay the above fee
*
RM50 gone even though the transaction not go through.. wow....

Maybe EssoMobil in Klang Valley/bigger cities have upgraded the pumps to become more "flexible".
*
At petronas, also same.. need to put mesra card first then only credit card at pump itself.

Next time you try to put CC first, then only Mesra, see can work or not? smile.gif  If yes, that pump is intelligent  biggrin.gif
CC first, mesra card second, cannot..

I always do that.

The problem is now we do not even know if that incident took place in Malaysia, are we still covered ?
No. The transaction can still go through. I tried this a few times before with CIMB Gold MasterCard and Maybankard Gold AMEX 2 years ago.
CIMB Bank and Maybank will not charge you over-limit fee if you do it as such. I mean deposit some money into your credit card account first before swiping it to make sure you have enough limit.
Apply for all Maybank credit cards? woah, such a good maybank, wan apply, coz sometime over limit i also dunno, then it's good that this bank allow the transaction goes through~

Special pump machines.. which Petronas ?
If you insert the Mesra card first, that means it will use the Mesra points to pay for the petrol, right ?
*
Sorry, i mean at the counter..

if pump, mesra first, then cc...

I think you better report to mod according to someone pointed your nickname at lowyat. So that mod can carry up this case.
*
Why would i care so much why this case has nothing to do with me, agree? tongue.gif Btw, If they have an evidences, they would head to police report already? why troll at lowyat? answer is easy, because this is the virtual world for the trolls rclxms.gif

Faithfully, i wouldn't care so much about these things done by trolls because;

1. The name is not mine
2. The friendster / facebook profile is not mine
3. Everything is not mine

How do i report to a mod while everything has nothing to do with me? sweat.gif sweat.gif

agree  thumbup.gif

ok i wil ltry it later smile.gif

bcoz mesra points calculate based on litre! not rm like esso/mobil smiles! u pump rm50 for ron95, its 26.13 litres, thats y u get 26 points only!  doh.gif

correction! 1000 mesra points = rm1 petronas petrol sweat.gif

and to get 1000 mesra points, u need to swipe rm1900 ron95 ~!!! laugh.gif

Maybank Credit Cards (non Amex), SCB Business Platinum, OCBC Titanium.

MBB: low admin rate, 0.5% compared to other banks' 1%
SCB Biz: Triple Choice Points plus 0.5% uncapped cashback
OCBC Ti: 5% cashback on petrol/dining/groceries/utilities

make your decision.
*
For me, MBB and SCB is good for overseas transaction icon_idea.gif
