Thanks for the advice smile.gif
The "toilet" thing that u r referring to is actually the hay tray. Because the bunny's small, the tray cant be use just yet as it's gonna b difficult for the bunny to eat tongue.gif
Thanks for the advise on the bedding notworthy.gif
Will get another type later laugh.gif

lol... sorry den. actually i bought the same cage like yours one from the same shop... about RM90 rite lol. i should have knew it earlier thats the hay tray. anyway.... i think u can buy the triangle toilet as bun can be toilet trained! simply put in the litters called "woodie pet" that can absorbs the urine!
*
Err...i bought d cage for rm130 shocking.gif there r 2 types, so i took d biggest doh.gif
Bought a toilet for d bunny n change bedding n litter to woodie pet last nite tongue.gif

By d way, i found it weird coz bunny's poo poo is sticky n not round like d 1st day we got it...
Is the bunny having diarrhea? icon_question.gif
Asked my fren who has a bunny, he said shud give unlimited hay n pellets (also, read in sites that said d same) but d petshop guy said not too much hay and pellet as it might cause diarrhea rclxub.gif

Anyway, d cute lil bunny resting in d box that we brought back from petshop when v let it out from d cage tongue.gif still scared n not used to d surrounding sweat.gif

Thanks a lot smile.gif Am following advice on unlimited hay but the bun is so picky, we are filling up d cage with hay laugh.gif
Cant limit the pellets yet as not sure how much hay is the bun gonna waste, so put in more pellets than needed so that bun dun go hungry doh.gif

Added on April 6, 2012, 4:26 pmWent to a vet today as bunny's poops consist of jelly like materials but not diarrhea doh.gif
Vet gav antibiotics and asked us to feed it with english parsley and a bit of pineapple juice.

Problem: Bunny cant drink from bottle and so i use a bowl to fill water for it to drink. Prob's bunny likes to get inside the "pool" and is always wet doh.gif:x:x
It's a weird behaviour! Plz advise.

My lil BunBun has passed away at about 1115pm last night cry.gif
Sent for cremation early this morning cry.gif
D vet said on Friday morning, bunny might be stressed coz of being away from herd n being in new environment which caused stomach upset...
Since it's just stomach upset, my fren who's a bunny owner said that my bunny might be a bit sick already when i got it from petshop..Anyway, did the best that i can do to take care of him and may lil BunBun rest in peace...

I am sorry to hear about lil BunBun's passing.

I cannot stress enough not to get bunnies from PetShops. Here are some reasons why I will not get bunnies from pet shops:

1. Baby bunnies are "harvested" too early from the farms. Baby rabbits can only leave their mother after 8 weeks
2. Most petshops have too many animals from different locations and no one knows what diseases some of these animals carry. Your bunny may have contracted some diseases

Not to generalize though, there are some pet shop owners who are very careful and ensure their livestock are in good condition.
*
Thanks for the information bro smile.gif
Yeah, agree with u that some of the petshops r not careful when it come to treatment to the pets coz they r just money making product...
I'll think of getting another bunny later, and will never get it from a petshop again...

I guess no pet stores can b fully trusted except for J Jay's, hahaha though Pets More got their bunnies from Beh & Yo rabbitry
My bunny visits d vet in Kota Kemuning, Parkhill (the contacts are available on d 1st page of this thread).
Good thing is that my bunny's very healthy, running around, eating, drinking, pooping and peeing happily laugh.gif only has mange (minor) issue
Tougher for me to take care coz need to clean cage everyday LOL

hey, guys, can you all help me determine if my rabbits skin condition is normal? I'm very worried
*
Looks like mange infection to me. Get ur bunny to the vet and get that ivermectin shot for ur bunny. My bunny took 7 shots to recover to abt 95%, still hav a bit of prob on her ears (back). My bunny lost a lot of her fur on all her legs, tail wise, botak! She's back to her fluffy self now smile.gif

how much will it cost?
*
RM15 for 1 check for mange mites under microscope by scraping of some dead skin, RM15-20 per jab coz it depends on ur bunny's weight, haha LOL my bunny only weights 270gm during her 1st treatment and 730gm during her last one laugh.gif That microscope check is only applicable for d 1st time to confirm types of mites laugh.gif oh ya, RM40 for ear mites cream (oily type) to help to speed up recovery. Bunny many need 4-8 jabs depending on severity of d infection, 1 jab per week. Oh ya, u'll need to wash the cage and everything in d cage with soap (dishwasher is fine) DAILY tongue.gif good luck, coz i did that for 7 weeks+ tongue.gif
