QUOTE(Geenic @ Dec 20 2013, 02:28 PM) yes i understand that they do not need to bath frequently but her poop is very watery this morning and the poop is sticking onto her fur thats why i decided to wash it. Watery n sticky poop? u better send ur bunny to the vet IMMEDIATELY , she might have diarrhoea n that's a freaking bad news for bunnies n hamsters...what can i do if she poop watery and sticky? im currently feeding her alfafa hay. should i give her unlimited hay or just a handful of hay per meal? By the way, dont ask forum coz this thread moves slowly, just google first whenever you hav prob with ur bunny. Also check ur bunny's feeding habit, if d amount of food intake has dropped due to low appetite etc. If it's really diarrhoea, get med from vet n feed some english parsley (not chinese which is coriander), amount plz consult the vet. BTW, this kinda tummy upset may lead to bunny's death, so be careful This post has been edited by hitsugayat10: Dec 22 2013, 01:38 PM |

QUOTE(pskk @ Mar 3 2014, 09:21 AM) Hi, Netherland Dwarf is basically d smallest Hope anyone can provide some adv. My daughter who is 8yrs old loves rabbit always insist on buying one as a pet. My questions are, which species is d smallest? Which species easist to rear and tame? Also any pet shops in penang i can get it? Thks. This is my lil Oatbun when she was 5 weeks old (270gram) [ ![]() ![]() 8 weeks old (700gram+ if i remember correctly) ![]() One of the latest, almost 6mths old (didnt weight but definitely more than 1kg LOL) she used to be less than half d size of d plastic home that she is in ![]() Her size almost tripled compared to the time i got her when she is 5weeks old A size comparison of bunnies from d net ![]() As for d species that is easier to tame, i think have read that it's holland lop but it actually depends on that particular bunny. They are like humans and comes with different personalities. Mine likes to run around and do not like being cuddled nor to even sit on my lap but damn smart for sure LOL This post has been edited by hitsugayat10: Mar 3 2014, 08:40 PM |

Question for experts, is it normal for bunnies to change colour as the mature? My lil oatbun's fur changes colour from brown to very dark brown (almost black) in a very noticeable way, less than 10 days. Is it bcoz of d change of food from alfafa to timothy?

QUOTE(cherie87 @ Mar 10 2014, 03:58 PM) Oatbun should be ok because my rabbit changed fur color too when I graduate him to carrot as snack. From shiny black, he grew white fur on the butt and grey fur at random parts of the body. He is less than 1yo. Thanks for the info |

My advice is for bro zack210 to get those bunnies direct from reputable breeders (who doesnt breed bunnies for $) as the one from petstores "require" u to send it to vet immediately after getting it.
My first bunny died within a week because i was careless and din send it to the vet to check, by d time i send him there (after noticing d wet poops, diarrhea), it is already too late. Stomach upset is bunny's worst enemy. Bought it from d huge petstore at ikano centre. Current bunny who is healthy n active, that i got from pet's more in tropicana has mange (mites) prob due to poor living condition in d store. She was only there for a week before i got her (at 5 weeks old) and took her 10 weeks to completely recover from mange prob (7 injections at once a week and lotion for her ears). I sent her to vet d moment i brought her home. I think you can try to look for good breeders from http://www.petfinder.my/ Spamming pic of my lil Oatbun ![]() She is now longer than her "house", used to be abt 40% of her "house" length LOL Thinking of getting a new cage for her This post has been edited by hitsugayat10: May 16 2014, 10:55 AM |

QUOTE(cktck887 @ May 20 2014, 01:19 AM) my solution to diarhea is nutridrops , water , banana ,alfalfa and timothy Wah! Ur rabbit n mine looks almost d same with some differences in tail and ears once diarhea must remove the rabbit from its friend , i kena b4 it friend eat the hay and water share limited , it died ......... when rabbit diarhea it may only drink water , so most effective is put low height bowl with water and hay all around , some only take timothy some only take alfalfa , some dont take hay but banana only , the pellet sure it will stop eat , many beginner or many basic typical owner will just feed pellet , basic pet shop will give pellet , so its life only hope that no sickness or pain , or else it will die because during pain or sick it wont eat pellet... i also have a clone of your rabbit Thanks for the info bro M extra careful with my current bunny's health condition, 1 vitamin c tablet and some treats daily |
