What to do when I can't enter the modem page? I have zte 831.. tried all the password and tried to reset it(how to properly reset it?), still not working :/...

I am a new streamyx user. I managed to get this info from the modem page. I am a bit confused about the Attenuation part. Can someone tell me why mine is normal? btw I am using the Aztech 600EU modem.

I just wonder why both my DNS server n default gateway are 192.168.1.1
i thought it shud have be 202.188.0.133 and another?

another is 202.188.1.5

may i know what is the email address to make a complaint. customer care or something similiar to that. Thanks

can la u just tell them i order for 1mbps u giving me 512 so i wan to pay only 512 speed

noob queation... how do you check your actual bandwidth? what software do you use? where to download? i tried checking using the speedometer on streamyx website... do not understand the table or wheteher it is true?

hi..im using d zte modem frm tm..i cant log in to my router page..used to be fine..but now it says..'operation timed out while connecting to 192.168.1.1' and also dwn at my toolbar it shows..'limited or no connectivity'..wat does it mean...

just wanna share --

u can find them ( if u using zte ) just behind the 1024/384 colum

fast - u connected straight to the exchange , no pizza box, should be fast enough with ya line rate ( ya package ).

interleaved - u are 5 km away from the exchange and they use pizza box to repeat the signal, that's why u got interleaved.

THE VERY IMPORTANT AND FAQ :-

U subscribe to 1mb, u got 512, call ya installer ( them who come to your house and install it for you ), ask them to call NOC, and upgrade the speed for you, they should know the rest of what they should do, if not, log a complaint !!

IF u perform self installation - go to clickers, give ya phone number, one that u use to subscribe streamyx on, ya login, ask them to call NOC, and do the upgrade for u, u actually no need for the screenshot, they allready have all the data .

even after we complain, the bandwitdh will not be actually the same with our actual subscription right?

if they do the upgrade, yes it will be, but if not, then it will never be, just make sure they do it by checking inside ya modem .

make sure u dont misunderstand between this two, the line rate and and bandwidth .. line rate should show 1024/384 if u pay for 88, but when u test it, it will only get 70% from the line rate .. 700kbps or something on download .. but if dont get 70%, then other problem occur, old cable from the exchange to ya house, damage port due to thunder ..

I call the 1-300-* number... then yesterday someone call me and said they already reset it, but the speed still the same...

How?

dEviLs : i think ur gateway(192.168.1.1) is set as a relay dns server, thats why ur dns server is ur gateway. as long u set those 202.188.x.x ip's in ur gateway there shouldnt be any problem.

shadow: i think u need to off and on ur modem...the modem prolly over-worked...


p/s : i updated the first post with masamura's miscapped tip, i admit most of the tests and tips in the first post might be outdated, will update them when i have time (busy with compiler assg now). btw, tmnet's service is getting lousier and lousier from day to day, after i saw a slight glint of hope in their service a few months ago...

202.188.0.xx in gateway ? they should be in dns server colum, not gateway.

1-300 number ? they know nothing bout the speed, serious ! you should consult any clickers for that, ask for their executive .. i'm inside tmnut but i wont reveil who really i am .. that's too dangerous if some other tmnut staff found out who am i here , saying all this .. hehe

rewlie : what i meant is

your pc : DNS server : 192.168.1.1, gateway : 192.168.1.1
your gateway / router : DNS relay mode : on / true, dns servers : <dns server ip>

Made another report today. They pickup very fast this time, no waiting.
Hopefully that will be the last.
