Is RM6.5k offer for a structural engineer with 3 years experienced considered high?

It's a French MNC..T******...I guess you know...

Any comments on the prospect of a structural engineer from salary wise? I am hoping of only 10k in 5 years, is this expectation acceptable?

10K with 5years of experience is definitely possible if you have been identified by the bosses as someone that actually contributes substantially to the team. You know, not a deadwood that only does work when told to. Anyway, in the line of OnG consultancy line your pay package will jump substantially once you have reached a certain amount of experience.

That's for basic only. I have been under the impression that the pay package for structural engineer is on the low side as compared to other fields in the oil n gas industry. Many of my friends in the structural field with 3-5yrs experience are still getting < RM5k. Keen to change to other fields like drilling or field service but seems difficult.
