want to ask, what is the future like for piping , good ? just want to know the future of piping in general as i cant give or really know how many piping fields are out there as im still very new in Oil & Gas.

i must say that im tempted of becoming a piping designer although i must know what does a piping designer do/does ? or is there something better to a piping designer ? i dont know where does a piping desinger rank on a list compared to other piping fields.

as for my status now, im working in an office (with a salary of RM500 monthly) and being provided training for 6 months on how to use autocad, together on learning piping and its piping drawings.

after the 6 months is over, ill be hired as their staff or ill be sent to any oil and gas company based in KL

im still very young and i hope this will be a good start for me to the future.

thanks smile.gif

just curious bro, r u under some sort of a program? by any chance government sponsored program?

if u dont mind can u shed some light on ur training as i am interested to be in piping as well.. rclxm9.gif

Hi,

Has anyone heard of company SK Engineering & Construction which is based in Korea?
Just received a job offer...contemplating if to take-up the offer and relocate to Seoul.

Any advice is appreciated.
*
just leave malaysia and go bro.. nothing is great about malaysia other than the food.

bear in mind fresh grad engineers in malaysia are in low income group now. only malaysia can achieve such thing, MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!!!

for me, i would say its one time chance as always u can hear people getting job offers to work in Korea.

if u are married or u have family here, u can get the cheap air asia flights..

my advance best wishes bro..

create a blog or twitter and update us on the life there as an engineer.. thumbup.gif

Not really la, 3.5 and first class degree only applicable for Subsea Graduate Engineer. I already talked with Technip HR.

For other positions, above 3.0 still acceptable....

Good Luck Jason..:-)

Hi guys

How about design engineer in this field?I'm crazy about this position, but the barriers is exp. and skills. I just have Autocad and solidworks. Think this field required such caesar, bocad, pdms, smart marine..any advise from u guys..................tq
*
u are a mechanical student? if mechaical u would need, autocad, microstation, pdms, pds (thats for now at technip). learning the software is the easy part, but to design the piping system and etc requires many years of skills which u wont learn at mechanical engineering university..

i am a fresh grad who just joined the piping design team.. blush.gif

dude...
aker is one of the top companies....

technip in malaysia is pretty much malaysianized

ranhill already malaysianized.....

go for Aker....
*
Top in what way bro? Track record?

Aker Malaysia is doing fpso or flng? Or are they the pioneers in spar?

Malaysianized? Again in what way? Too many Malaysians? So u are one of those who thinks foreigners are the best? If u are working in one of those companies I guess u shouldn't be hired in the first place as u are Malaysian and I think this is the right time for u to resign and join ur "gods" in Europe.
