ADNOC is a HUGE company in UAE so please be careful as with huge companies, there will be huge scams as a lot if people will want to work there. If they ask you for deposit, for sure it's a scam because ADNOC will NEVER ask for money.

The interview invitation also should be super professional, if you start seeing grammar mistake or spelling errors or fishy email address. For sure that's a scam also.

Interested to know,
Do contractor like Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and etc hiring schedulers?

Do I have chance to get  into upstream business in operator or contractor companies?

Welding engineer, go the NDT route and abseiling then go freelance, u get daily paid and get onto contracts. A friend of mine who went that route a few years ago after i advised him is drawing in above of 370k per annum and he is only 27 yrs old.

As for entry into the OnG sector, ESPECIALLY in miri, Yes you do need someone on the inside, preferbly not family. I only decided to work in Miri after more than 15yrs after my dad retired, and STILL i have to live up to his name. Every marine contractor and even shell still remembers him DAMN!. But if you guys are looking for a way in, do drop me an e-mail with ur resume of course and i'll ask my friends and see if they're in terested. I'm not offering anything solid, but just to get you noticed. I have a very large network, where even shell n petronas staff ask me to help them get jobs elsewhere. I should open a head hunting agency! lol. but i love my job here! If you are interested in short term projects also I can arrange, I do not burn bridges and always keep in touch with my former colleagues as I was freelancing till a few years ago.

@hitsugaya those big companies came to utm each year fr recruitment. But I never hv d chance since they want a 3.50 and above. I've applied for so many companies I can't list them here. A lot. Fr slb u hv to register first n then use the job search.

I was asked the same question and I thought legal right to work means you own a working permit/visa so I said no I dont have any.

Why do you think Petronas is suffering so much right now? We have sooo many young engineers but no one to train them. You have the senior managers, the general managers and then nothing in between. My ex GM keeps asking me to come back and train the new kids ...

7 years I know of but not 5. I have a couple of ex Petronas with 7 years that joined my company. Then again, they are really excellent candidates (both of them worked under me )

Not the time yet lah. The kids are small, they are enjoying the international school here. I get to spend a lot of quality time with them. Once they go to college, then I'll most likely return.
