im fresh graduate in mechanical eng degree... want to venture into O&G field.. but i already told that chance is too slim..


now just finish my course on cswip 3.0 and 3.1.. planning to take couse on PCN welding inpection.

my uni sponsor selected student to do the course.. but i can only receive cert for cswip3.0.. 3.1 only for our knowledge and experience... so after this, easier la if i want to take 3.1 cert coz i already know how was the exam..

what the trainer/lecturer told us.. for freshie need 'kabel' to enter O&G.. after that no problem la coz already have experience...

FYI.. need 2yrs experience from 3.0 to go to 3.1...

yea.. thats my plan.. to start from small company.. now i just found several company that doing fabrication for O&G.. piping.. pressure vessel..
any suggestion which company i should apply..

i think for now chance go work at small company higher than the big2 one.
coz my degree result not very2 excellent..

just back from the interview.. i'm choose WI.. hahaa.. dont know why..maybe because i alredy attend cswip 3.0.. but till now dont know the result..

cswip 3.0 can la even w/o experience.. 3.1 need 1yr exp if already have 3.0...

some of the course sponsored by gov.. you can wait for sept/oct intake.. they will advertise in newspaper about the interview..or you can call them..

now still waiting email from TWI regarding my 3.0 result.. my friend already receive their result.. dont know why i didnt.. or they only notify who pass the exam?

As i know 3.0 didnt require any experience..but 3.1 require 2yrs to sit for exam (to attend course, anybody can go)..

just got offer to continue work at company where i've done practical training.. doing 3rd party inspection.. kinda interesting..travel to site.. learn new thing everyday (1week almost 2-3 different job/project)..
but today got call from MMHE to interview for management training program. pay higher than current company.. but will do management work.. so all my inspection cert will not be use..

dilemma now which one to grab.. money or working style..

for working style i like my current job.. doing inspection was my dream but someone told me not much 3rd party company will pay high unless you have special cert ie API,AI, etc.. for now i only have welding inspection and radiography interpretation..
ask a few colleague with experience 3-4yrs.. their basic salary not much different with me fresh grad..

but if go to mmhe.. they offer much higher.. but only work in the office as part of management team...
