I dunno exactly when, but try to keep an eye on those career fairs in town. Also O&G companies always send their recruiters to local and private universities EVERY YEAR to hunt for fresh blood. Word on the street is they like to hire graduates from UTP, University Teknologi Petronas, so if you have a friend there, hook him up and check with him/her from time to time.

For graduates without any experience in the oilfield, i think this is your best bet.  Or you can be persistent and email all major oil companies you can find.
I know the ads on the paper and website always require min 3-5 yrs so it's a bit frustrating i know. Believe me if you knock enough doors, eventually you will find one that will answer your call.
*
thx for the info bro!! yeah, it's quite frustrating as most o&g companies looking for experienced employees to join them.

As i know 3.0 didnt require any experience..but 3.1 require 2yrs to sit for exam (to attend course, anybody can go)..
*
i see, actually wanted to attend 3.0 before but didn't go because stated 6 months engineering preferred.

hey guys, can someone enlighten me about this post "offshore administrator"?? what does offshore administrator do? according to the interviewer, its like a clerk job..difference is its offshore based.

If fresh grad is not favoured then who is going to replace the seniors? Until when? If we we're not given the chance and get trained, how could we get into this industry? If I don't start my career in o&g now, then when should I? After 5 years gaining experience in other field? How can we become experienced when no chances given at the first place?
*
i have the same thought as u too bro!!!

QUOTE(feekle @ Sep 18 2011, 07:59 AM)

I'm not shortlisted. Guess I'm not that good. Hmmhh
Kuala baram ka sis? I even apply fr technician position. That's how desperate I am. I just want to work so bad. sad.gif
