nowadays more and more Malaysian are quitting Petronas and joint company in Middle East because of the payslip difference.
The funny thing is more and more expatriates come to Petronas because of the same reason. Simply Petronas value others better then their own people Added on September 30, 2011, 9:10 am QUOTE(BRC @ Sep 28 2011, 03:47 PM) Offshore all these courses are basically will be paid by the company once you joint them, as they are HSE requirement for working offshore.Tropical BOSIET+HUET (Opito) - all going offshore needs that Basic H2S course - Mainly for Sarawak fields Try google SMTC global for safety trainings thats job specific University qualification is good enough for entering this industry. You have to be more specific which department suits you better before deciding taking some courses... and again, all courses will be paid by the company as part of your development plan, no need to bother looking for yourself This post has been edited by kucingarab: Sep 30 2011, 09:10 AM |

QUOTE(Zeu's @ Oct 4 2011, 09:07 PM) hi guys..i have a question..is it possible for somebody with no geology/geophysics background become a geophysicist? is there any seismic data processing/management courses to take? yes it is possible. But preference will always fall to those who had G&G background. You might be fitter elsewhere depends on your personal background. Any specific reason why you choose to be a geophysicist? other field might be more rewarding to you |

QUOTE(hackwire @ Oct 14 2011, 09:27 AM) what job position can i apply if my qualification is in sale n marketing. if you are good with sales and marketing. service companies are the best place for you.im looking for a job either in oil and gas or shipping as long as the salary is high. i don't mind the labour work at least better than white collar work with low pay in malaysia . going to work outside and save a lot before i retire for good . the problem is i don't have any engineering certs and background. you just need to get knowledge first about the equipment and services being offered by your company, and then sell them to the client. no engineering certs or background required for this position. ... one funny thing i find is...most of the personnel on this position are now being took over by beautiful girls .. they sell better than men. QUOTE(ICDeadPeople @ Oct 17 2011, 03:34 AM) Yes, school is one turn off point that I have right now. I know agood school the fees will be from aed40k-aed70k. Im not sure with aed35k, what is the quality of the school. Maybe will try to locate malaysian/indonesian expat there and ask their opinion. School quality is decent. Most of them are following international standard, you just need to choose which system are you/ your kids interested in? 35K is surely not enough. Prepare to pay for more other than tuition fee, such as books, uniforms, excursions, extracuricullars and so on...Still thinking to take or not. Housing 150K will get you average standard in Abu Dhabi. This is the limit number, it doesn't mean this 150K into your bank account. you can choose a lower cost apartment like AED 100K, but you wont be able to save the rest. The money will go straight from the company to the owner of the apartment, for example you choose an apartment for 120K then the company will pay only 120k to the owner. you cannot have the 30k margin.. its not for you.. I received the same offer from them last year, but considering the whole package, this is surely not the best one available in the market right now. Some jobs in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and offcourse in Malaysia are actually much better. And they are closer to home. I agree with Azraeil. Use ADCO as your stepping stone. This company is somehow dominated by Egyptian and Indian nationals, if you are not from both then don't dream too high. Preference will always fall to the UAE nationals, and I've never seen any Malaysian having the priority for high level management in this group. Malaysian as well as other south east Asian will always be the last choice. sad but true.. This post has been edited by kucingarab: Oct 17 2011, 10:25 PM |
