QUOTE(BlueHeng @ Jun 18 2011, 09:47 PM) I'll be honest with you. Your 1 year experience in marine construction is worth nothing once you get into oil and gas. Expect a standard fresh grad's pay. And why would you want to come back to malaysia? Might as well stay there with higher pay. BlueHeng, although my company is base in singapore but i am hiring under malaysia branch, not taking SGD.... higher pay than other but i think oil and gas service company can give better prospect, i believe $$ come with yr experience also...

Been with Baker Hughes 5+ years now, but just changed scene from Middle East to Brazil - yeah, hell lot more interesting here. First time on a deepwater drillship, puking my guts out after running out of sea-sickness pills! Wow kslee, really long time no heard from you, thank for your advise, finally I m in ong field, start work on Monday at singapore, hope you are doing well at brazil, all the best yar~

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Sep 22 2011, 09:15 AM) Qatar...hmm...better think twice before going there. Tips to forummers here, dun even consider working in that shitty country unless you are paid RM20K above. Good for kianhoe. Just goes to show that if you keep knocking enough doors, eventually one is going to answer your call. Some ppl get lucky and some takes a little longer to land an oilfield job. But once you are in the zone, massive opportunities awaits you. yes, besides kslee, i would like to thank carloz for advice also~try your best then you might get what you want~cheers up!
