QUOTE(preakzz @ Sep 10 2011, 10:59 AM) Start by sending your resume through their website. I applied from there. Each of the company have their career section, mostly. I believe there's a list of O&G companies and their websites in this thread. Dig it. Good luck! Yeah that's what i'm doing now, keep searching ONG company website, bookmark them & monitor if any of them have post positions.thx ya |

QUOTE(preakzz @ Oct 22 2011, 08:04 PM) Try Technip. My fren got in there last year, she's good with autocad n solidworks too. I don't think pdms is being used in uni..they give her training fr pdms. Around 8 to 10 times I'm apply at technip for position that related to this field, then twice my application under consideration. think after this i will upload all the drawing that i done before, maybe it will be some booster for them to review my application.heheh check today's borneo post. got a lot of vacancies... QUOTE(skinnydude @ Oct 24 2011, 09:02 AM) u are a mechanical student? if mechaical u would need, autocad, microstation, pdms, pds (thats for now at technip). learning the software is the easy part, but to design the piping system and etc requires many years of skills which u wont learn at mechanical engineering university.. yes i'm mech grad..i'm very interested on this job. i reject to work at mnc as engineer and accept draftsman position.. just to be in this line..no problem with autocad but the others never be used. yes ur correct, even do the same drawing, it will make us dizzy. heheh i am a fresh grad who just joined the piping design team.. |

QUOTE(nibiahk @ Feb 15 2012, 10:56 PM) where are you working now?? Nope, I'm just got an interview from this company. So better prospect to be in field by being mechanical design engineer?if working in manufacturer, better be a mechanical design engineer: - designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers & process equipment. |

QUOTE(noruazumi @ Feb 24 2012, 08:39 AM) Avoid companies that state these sort of requirements. Just try my luck, no worries what in their mind coz i'm entry level only. They cant make up their mind whether they want experienced personnel with 3-5 years or they want fresh grads. Or they want to pay experienced personnel with fresh grads salary. Just stay away. Furthermore my current works is not related to oil gas sector. I'm not utm utp grad, not in super good result. All I have only mech cert and super duper effort to get in this line. QUOTE(mangoman @ Feb 26 2012, 12:27 PM) Might not be possible, FE is more to process whereas design engineer is more to design. Two totally different job scope. oo...how about design to instrument engineer?my mind said design focus to product details but IE more to process instrumentation which is working in bunch of process stuff. saying these both position job scope of course different.. |
